"Uh, sure," Nika answered, his voice laced with uncertainity. Despite his training, Nika had rarely been in the feild, and whenever he had gone out, he usually had back-up. While he wasn't doubting Baskill's training (the man was adimant on protecting Rebecka, and a man doesn't show that much confidence unless he has the skill to back it), but it was still only one person. Still, he didn't know whether Ali or Altina could handle themselves... better to be on guard and wait. "Don't worry, sir, I've got your back."
"Heh, we'll see," Baskill muttered, but he looked over his shoulder at the young soldier and flashed him a brief smile, which the boy happily returned. The room was silent for a few moments as the two quickly looked over the final measurements and Nika allowed Baskill to take the main controls while he would co-pilot. Standing from his chair, Nika pushed his hands into the small of his back, grunting in satisfaction as the bones clicked. Wishing he wasn't wearing the suit so that he could rub the sore muscles more effectively, Nika wandered from the main deck to explore the rest of the ship. He gave a wide berth to wherever Ali and Becka were, but he came across a small pantry, where the trips provisions were held, as well as a large canister of instant coffee and a water purifier. Smiling to himself, he extracted enough water to fix two coffees and began to brew up two cups, using the small ring in the box-sized kitchen area to heat the water.
Ladened with two cups, he handed one to Baskill on his return to the deck before he plopped himself back in his chair and propped his feet up on the command board. He heard Baskill sniff loudly, but a boy-like grin sent the man's way seemed to stop him from telling Nika off, though not from mumbling to himself. Still smiling, Nika was sipping his coffee when Ali and Becka came back.
"Oh, hey you guys!" he said, cupping his mug in his hands.
"Is that coffee? Why don't I have one?" Ali grumbled, smiling slightly at the soldier. Nika grinned cheekily to hide his slight blush, sipping the drink again before closing his eyes with a blissful expression, opening one to watch Ali.
"Go make your own," he retorted, taking his feet down and swivelling his chair to face the two teenagers. "So? D'you find anything interesting?"
