Mmkay, here's the place for the bios!!I'm going to be VERY STRICT for Breather bio's. Breathers are supposed to be rare- this means that there aren't many of them. So, uhh, yeah, here is mine and follow its lead

Name: Neaidh
Sex:
Age: 18 (breathers can be this young only because most don't live very long)
Species: Breather
Alligance: Neptune
Location: Usually lives in the caves just under candleridge

Appearance: Most of her appearance is dictated by her species- pale skin when exposed to oxygen, deep blue skin when exposed to water. Blue-green eyes no matter what. She as very long brown hair that seems to look as if it is black while it is wet- usually she has a few starfish in it for decoration. She is tall and slender, not too busty, with plump lips and high cheeckbones. Had she been an Oxie she'd been just another face in the crowd, nothing spectacular about it. Clothing? SHe doesn't wear much of it while in the ocean- usually just some brown cloth to cover her breasts and brown cloth to cover her nether regions. Other than that she is bare- but while in the oxygen she usually favors dresses, long robes, leggings, anything to cover up as much skin as she can.

Personality: She's a survivor, has always had the instinct of flight rather than fight- its the only way for her kind to stay alive. She doesn't make friends easily and trusts peopls even harder, mostly prefers to spend her time alone or looking for others of her kind. She's fierce when she has to be, but rather rpefers to listen to logistics than emotion.

History: Her history is much the same as her present- Her parents(both Oxies) got rid of her and her twin Trediah when they were 5 and no longer under the Child Protection of Separate Species Act. From then on it was all about hiding as much as possible and having as little contact with others as possible. Trediah was killed by the Gills when they were 15, and now Nea is even more reclusive. She 'supports' Neptune only because he is rumored to be kinder towards Breathers than Poseidon is- otherwise she has no true alligeance. All she wants to do is stop the war and whoever is destroying the Bubble Cities- for if the cities are gone, Breathers will die out too.

Name: Frey

Sex:Male

Age: Twenty-seven

Species:Gill

Alliance:Poseidon

Location: He is stationed at Deion, an underwater military base that keeps a watchful eye on Candleridge, just in case those mouth-breathers try anything funny

Appearance:
"Tall", with his 6"7 length from head-to-tail-tip, and broad shouldered enough to make a strong solider, Frey is a rather imposing figure. He carries himself with an almost haughty dignity. People tend to give him a bit of a berth, particularly when he's angry.
As a solider, Frey is rarely seen without his armor. He has more when needed, including a helmet and guards for his chest, but as they create an awful lot of drag in the water, he wears them only when he has to.
His hair is rather longer then what is strictly considered "army regulation", but then, who is going to correct a popular high-ranking officer? The blue tint is, of course, natural, matching the color of his scales.
The only difference between his actuality and the above artist's rendering is his tail. He doesn't actually have one. He has two scaled legs that end in finned feet. He is able to walk on land, but it's awkward, rather like someone in swim-fins trying to walk. And this still doesn't let him breathe on land. The mouth is there for speaking and eating, and the nose is more or less decorative; neither one is connected to his respiratory system at all. He breathes with the gills in his neck.

Personality: Funny, charming, and with a magnetic personality, Frey is popular and no wonder why. He has a bright, fun charisma. Frey is that guy who all the women want and all the men want to be. He has all the right connections and all the right friends. He seems without flaw.
Now for the flipside. Frey can be very violent when upset. And his temper is hair-trigger. If you make him mad and he doesn't clock you immediately, expect terrible revenge later.
These traits make him an excellent solider, but a dangerous bloke in general.

History: Born in a large Gill city, Frey was raised in a caring, safe environment. He was actually a very quiet, peaceful child, who never acted up or misbehaved in the slightest. The city was located in a safe cove, surrounded by reef on one side and a deep trench on the other. Even the weather above the water was almost always perfectly calm.
It was this calmness that caused a bubble city that drifted over top of the city to linger for almost three years.
Frey was twelve when it arrived.
Due to one thing or another, he wound up deciding that all Oxies were evil bastards who were too stupid to understand anything at all. That was the very day that he joined the army, ready and excited to fight them any way he could.
Once in the military, he rose quickly through the ranks, and his hatred for all things non-Gill grew. He is intensely xenophobic and a damn good fighter to boot.
Oxies and Breathers beware.

Name: Nika Apostolos

Species: Oxie

Alliance: Neptune

Location: Candleridge, although most of his time is spent in the city’s barracks.

Appearance:


Nika stands at 5’6 with a rather thin build and a general boy-like appearance. With round, chocolate brown eyes, and hair of the same hue, he is often babied by his mother and three sisters. He walks with a bounce in his step, and comes across as an approachable person to many Oxies. So carefree and innocent, he seems, that the rest of his battalion tell him constantly that he’s not cut out for battle.
His right ear is dotted with several piercings, and he is permanently dressed in the undershirts of his armour, which consists of a sage tunic and breeches. When not on duty, a blood-red cloak with flames on it circles his shoulders. No reason; he just thinks it looks cool. His armour is a slightly blue tinted metal alloy, which is light and close fitting.

Personality: As above stated, Nika is a gentle and kind individual, with a great sense of humour and a undying feeling to do good things for others. He seems too naive and innocent to be able to fight, but he is more than able to stand on his own two feet as well. He fights to protect his family and friends, but even then, he’s a bit of a coward.
But as much as he tries to be a good person and protect the rest of his city along side his comrades, he does have a darker side; Nika has an insanely jealous streak, whether it be a friend hanging out with someone else, him not getting credit for something he’s done, or even if he’s not getting attention.

History: Born and raised in Candleridge, Nika was the only son of the Apostolos family, and was therefore spoiled by all of his family members, which lead to his jealous tendency. When the moving city settled over a Gill settlement, and Nika was forbidden to go with the other adults in case he was hurt, that jealously of what other people were experiencing caused him to break the rules and go for it. Being a child, he didn't hate the Gills yet, as he would soon grow to. He was able to watch the group through the protective bubble...and saw them all slaughtered. Shocked and disgusted, Nika knew now what everyone said about Gills was true, and he joined the army when he was old enough to protect others from harm.

Only problem with you guys bio's is:

Bryden- there is no 'walking on land' or 'weather abouve the city'. I'm talking leagues upon leagues in the ocean- no one can go to the surface. At all. Ever.

Gina & Bryden: The whole Gills and Oxies being friends thing. Their hatred of each other has been for centuries now- so the whole them being friends thing is really not likely to have happened. So... yeah. Ditch that and they're good!

Name: Altina Aliquot
Sex: Female
Age: 27
Species: Oxie
Alligance: Neptune
Location: Candleridge.

Appearance:

Altina is the spitting image of a pre-war beauty. With luscious hair, dark and piercing eyes, and pale skin, she's very doll-like. She stands at around 5'8, and is quite thin with minor curves. Altina does not have an athletic figure, although she does stay in shape by swimming as often as possible. She tends to wear what would be called 'fancy' -for her time- dresses.

Personality: Altina is a methodical, scientific woman who carefully examines every situation and moment until she's fully knowledgeable about it. She can be quite insufferable at times, and when she's not, her quiet distance can be just as infuriating. Altina is all but impossible to hold an equal conversation with- either she knows much more than you and thus is miles ahead, or she's entirely ignorant about the subject and impossible to loop in. Anyone who knows Altina praises her for her immense intelligence, while at the same time loathing her for her utter lack of social grace. Altina does have a soft spot, though. She is an utter fool in the face of romantic stories and positively melts when she hears one.

History: Altina's parents were scientists and engineers before her, so it was not long before their daughter showed interest and talent in those fields. What nobody expected, though, was that she would be entirely superior to either of them when she made up her mind to pursue the fields.
Altina inherited her parents' burden of keeping the Candleridge floating and in good repair. Altina cares nothing at all about the war between the Gods, aside from the damage that the wars could have on her Bubble. Altina is a micro-manager, and although there are many others who maintain the Bubble, she feels that she is the one who is ultimately responsible for it. Thus, Altina concerns herself with everything that relates to the Bubble. Silly politics, silly military, silly social commentary, everything. She must know what's going on at all times, so that she may be prepared to defend the Bubble against what come may.
Altina does have an interest in Gills and Breathers, though. Mostly for scientific purposes- she wishes to see how they adapt and live amongst the water, for she believes fully understanding their method of life can help improve that of the Oxies. This has lead to Altina actually being rather outspoken in ending the racism and wars against these people, but in no way due to actual remorse or concern for the races.

-"land" as in if he was going to be in a bubble (which, I know, he wouldn't, but I'm just trying to put the strength of his legs into perspective) he could theoreticly walk.

-As for the weather, no matter if there is no land, there is still going to be weather. Lack of land has no effect on wind or rain. The bubbles float around, and they would be effected by this weather.

-We can adjust the "tensions" part if you like, but Gina and I have ideas, so may we PLEASE keep the fact that they were friends at some point? It isn't unheard of even in our real world for individuals in groups that are brutal enimies to make friends on their own.

Name: Ancora
Sex: Female
Age: 23
Species: Gill
Allegiance: Poseidon
Location: Around Candleridge (much to her father’s dismay)

Appearance:

A er, plus-size beauty. What happens when a girl never learned what everyone else thinks beauty is? To her she is the prettiest Gill there is and ever was. After a lifetime of adoration sly remarks and rude comments are simply beneath her. She believes it is far more likely that they are blind then she unattractive. Ancora stands in at a little over 6 feet, making her head-and-shoulders taller than her father. Her skin is a light blue and her eyes are of a darker shade. Doesn’t wear clothes except for formal occasions; of which consist of gorgeous dresses embedded with hundreds of pearls.

Personality: Ancora is a very contemptuous merwoman. It’s what happens when a very spoiled girl grows up and is accustomed to getting everything she wants. And if she doesn’t get what she wants, to no surprise this leads to anger. A short fuse and a flair for the dramatics are characteristics of this one. “Life is my stage”—or some equally sappy adage. But oblivious to our ‘little’ princess, life really sucks. She has never faced the brutality of war, feeling indifferent about the life-and-death struggle that costs the lives of good folk to keep her safe. Her mind has created a pathological avoidance towards the brutal war, whether to protect her or enable her to slip into her own magical world nobody knows.

History: Born the only child of weapon contractor and entrepreneur extraordinaire O’Gran of O’Gran Armaments, Ancora was never shown anything short of love. With her mother passing away from sickness shortly after her birth O’Gran poured all his love into his little baby girl. The result is, well, Ancora. While others were bred for combat she was free to engage in finer hobbies. Singing (she’s a wonderful alto), dancing and even acting are her fortes. Her boredom of hearing the same old servants cheer her performances over and over again has driven her to new places. O’Gran of course is very much against letting his precious flower out into the raging waters, but his little princess always gets what she wants. With a fleet of servants, Ancora makes her way to the exotic city of Candleridge to see these bubble-people herself.

Extra: While your typical Gill needs to eat approximately every two hours, for Ancora it’s more like 30 minutes. She’s a growing girl!

Name- Samuel
Sex- Male
Age- 23
Species - Oxie
Allegiance- Neptune
Location- Candleridge
Appearance- Samuel has short brown hair that is a bit shaggy in the front but kept closely cut in the back. He has brown eyes and a slightly oval shaped face. His build is not overly intimidating at 5’ 10” and a slight 170lbs. His armor is a bright silver from him constantly shining it in order to impress his superiors. Samuel is always with his favorite weapon, the trident. He took up the weapon because of the symbolism of power within the seas. He has trained long and hard with it but he is still no master at the weapon and sometimes loses his focus when using it.
Personality- Samuel is a fun loving guy that enjoys life but is willing to fight in order to preserve his way of life. He is not overly fond of combat but does not shy away from it either. He is a bit of a goofball and this has come back to bite him sometimes. One of the barracks stories involves a time when Samuel for one reason or another thought that he could command the sea with his trident. Well he couldn’t and ended up having to be rescued or else he would have drowned. He enjoys being with friends and thinks that the reason for living is to enjoy the company of others.
History- Samuel joined the military at the age of 18 because he couldn’t really think of anything else to do and because his parents wanted him to make something of himself. You either went into the military or had a trade and since the one time he tried to do repairs he managed to flood an entire sector, it seemed for the best he went military. He did well in the military but hasn’t really excelled. He is just the grunt that does all of the menial work that his commanding officers give him. Samuel just counts down until its time to go out for drinks with the rest of his squad, it’s the time that he treasures most.

Name: Alisander Aliquot.
Sex: Male.
Age: Nineteen.
Species: Oxie
Alligance: Neptune
Location: Candleridge.
Appearance: Alisander stands at a height of six feet three and weighs exactly one hundred and eighty nine pounds. His body frame is quite athletic, with muscle on his arms, legs, and abdomen area from both swimming and working in construction. His eyes are a very sparkling grey-ish, blue-ish tone and he is quite handsome facial wise. For clothing, he doesn't wear anything outlandish or expensive. Mostly his uniform and if not then, just comfortable/casual clothing. He isn't looking to impress anyone.

Personality: Alisander is a very somber individual. He’s not as cheerful as a lot of his comrades and would prefer to keep it that way. He sees life as a very serious deal and chooses not to be as happy-go-lucky like many people he knows. His gloomy outlook on life has caused him to stand out from many normal, smart, and unique Oxies alike. He isn’t completely dark every second, there are times where he does laugh and have fun, it just isn’t all the darn time. Like his sister older, Altina, Alisander is quite intelligent. He however isn’t as brainy as his sister, who never lets him hear the last of it. As a young boy, he grew up incredibly shy, not being comfortable to talk with hardly anyone. Most assumed he was mute until his late teens when he began to come out of his shell just a little bit. He doesn’t have many friends or associates and mostly spends his time with Altina in the lab, watching over the bubble. Alisander doesn’t think as highly of the bubble as much as his sister does, but he admires her commitment to preserve it as without the bubble there would be no where for the Oxies to live. One thing that he has never let get to him is the fact that his sister has excelled to a level that at this point is pretty much attainable by any other intelligent Oxie. Concerning the other races, Alisander hates both the Breathers and the Gills because he’s been taught that he’s supposed to. He hasn’t really come in contact with one to see them for who they really are, but still hates them.

History: Alisander is the younger of two children. His mother and father, both well known scientist/engineers to the Oxie community had always encouraged their two children to follow their chosen career path. Because the two kids were both socially inept, it was only right that they followed in that field and not Politics and Military. Alisander had been pretty hesitant in doing so while he was younger, but has found himself settling very well in working as an engineer now. His sister did both the engineering and the science, something he would never see himself doing in his life. He very much enjoys the construction and machinery aspect of his job, but pretty much loathes how much scientific knowledge he has to learn to operate everything. Alisander is a top ranked engineer in his field, exactly two positions behind Altina. He likes his job and isn’t really looking to go any position higher. He would like to see life outside of the bubble, but knows in order to do so technology would have to advance much more than it is now. While he’s able to go for swims outside, it isn’t for very long. In a way, he feels jealousy towards the other races that are able to spend as much time in the water as he can.

Name: Harrison Loft

Location: The Deion military base, though not of his own free will

Appearance: Harrison measures around 6'9" from tip to tail with a stocky, solid build. He has proud, chiseled features and a mop of very dark blonde hair, almost brunette. His eyes are golden-brown. His bottom half is that of a bamboo shark: light brown with irregular darker brown bands, with light spots all over.

Harrison is lightly toned, but most of his bulk comes from simply being big-boned, not real muscle. He avoids wearing any clothing because it hinders his movement, and he has no patience for anything that's not functional.

Personality: Harrison is a pragmatic, non-nonsense young man, the complete opposite of his fanciful, mischievous brother. He likes to get things done as quickly as possible with the least amount of fuss, and he won't be happy if you make this objective difficult for him. He likes having a handle on any situation he is, and will quickly become disoriented and frustrated if confronted with anything he can't directly control. He believes it's his job to look after his brother and support them. He doesn't trust authority - heck, he doesn't trust anyone - and believes that the best course of action for everything is just to do things his way and to hell with everyone else.

History: Harrison and his brother lived in a less-prosperous Gill city, and their parents were lay-about ne'er-do-wells who didn't attempt even in the least to support their sons. Because of this, Harrison grew up fast, often resorting to violence or crime to obtain resources to care for his brother. When he was sixteen and his brother was ten, they left their home city and set off in search of their fortunes, hoping to find a better life than scrabbling and scraping to make ends meet. Instead, they ended bouncing from town to town, poorer than they were before. Through it all, however, Harrison managed to keep Trigger safe, which in his mind meant his life thus far had been a success.
Then they got into trouble. It wasn't as if Trigger hadn't gotten the two in trouble before, but before hand they'd always managed to avoid being caught, or at least talk their way out of it if they were. Now, however, their current predicament (which will be revealed IC) has landed the brothers at Deion military base, doing menial labor such as food gathering, heavy lifting, sanitation - basically, all the unpleasant grunt work you can think of.

Name: Trigger Loft

Sex: Male

Age: 20

Species: Gill

Alliance: Poseidon

Location: Deion military base

Appearance: Trigger is boyish and attractive, with a slim, almost androgynous body and a fine-boned build. He measures 6'1" from tip to tail. His features are delicate and becoming, and he has luminous vermillion eyes and hair to match. He likes wearing frivolities like jewelry - necklaces and bracelets - but doesn't have enough money to keep himself as stylish as he'd like to be. Then again, therein lies the beauty of the five-finger discount. Trigger's bottom half is an elongated version of a clownfish, with the same distinctive pattern and rounded, lobed fins. This means he lacks scales, something he has a bit of a complex about. After all, it seems everyone around him (except his brother) has shiny, flashy scales . . . and even though his brother is scaleless, his tail is at least somewhat badass looking. Nobody wants to be a clownfish.

Personality: Trigger is, in short, silly. Just absolutely silly. While his brother grew up hard and fast, he seemed to never grow up, partly because of how much Harrison coddled him. He doesn't understand that his actions have consequences and never thinks before he acts, assuming that no matter what he does, his big brother will fix it for him. He thinks nothing of crime - thinks nothing of "good" or "evil" or "right" or "wrong." It's not that he's immoral. He doesn't know what morality is. He simply thinks he was put in the sea to please himself and have a good time. Recently, however, his sentence to serve the soldiers of Deion has been a harsh slap in the face and a real reality check. Whether or not it will actually hammer some sense into him is yet to be determined.

Name: Arlong
Sex: No thank you, nature provides him with all the satisfaction he needs
Age: 24
Species: Gill
Allegiance: Poseidon
Location: Currently, studying aquatic life deep under Candleridge

Appearance:

As you can tell, he takes a more natural approach to his looks--rarely will he go with clothing such as shirts, and he has never in his life cut his hair. He his not, however, below cleanliness--he always makes sure to take care of his hair, and takes time to scrape the grime out of his scales.

Personality: At heart, Arlong belongs in the wild. Not because he acts as such, but because of all the beauty in the world. All the different varieties of fish and plant life, held in perfect balance by thousands of creatures (both micro and macro in size) working together--it's simply awe-inspiring. Not to mention some of the astounding abilities that the sea-life has; Arlong is as grateful as he can be that his thicker skin allows him into deeper water, where the fish themselves glow from their hearts.
Clearly, given the choice between people and nature, Arlong would choose nature; as well, he will refuse involvement in aggressive behaviour unless his precious world is at stake.

History: Arlong was raised in a smaller village, away from the Bubbles where it was believed the war would not reach. He was raised to respect the world around him and see all that it has to offer, and that, as inhabitants, the Gills and Oxies were to only take as needed and never more. On his 18th birthday, Arlong began traveling to learn and study the numerous other inhabitants of the planet. His only conflicts to date have been with the not-so-friendly wildlife, leaving him weak in battle but strong in heart.
