Once the boat was loaded with the resistance, Luigi punched it and was taking off across the water. His boat cut through the pristine water surface swiftly and before long the burning jungle was out of site. Luigi saw Donkey Kong looking down, lost in defeat and loss. He pulled up to the mansion again and parked the boat on the dock. As he jumped from the boat, his head smashed against something he hadn’t seen before. Then a loud “ching” was heard and a gold coin shot up into the hair.
“I hate those dang things,” he mumbled under his breath as he led the group back to the mansion. As they entered a secret door hidden by some heavy ivy, the rebels were greeted by the foyer of the once great mansion. It was surely rundown. In the years since he had built this mansion, on the same site as the haunted one he had owned, it had slowly become less and less livable. He hadn’t really had any reason to keep up with the house work until recently, seeing as though he had a room in the castle until now. A thick layer of dust covered just about every surface in the house and various floor boards were missing. The candle light barely lit the room, leaving it dark and creepy. He wondered if ghosts had found their way in there, too. He was sure he was seeing things in the house but before he could focus on them, they disappeared. He decided he would ask Boo later.
He led the others to the dining room and sat down at the head of the table. As everyone joined him, he stared at their faces and wondered just what his next move would be. He wasn’t Mario. He didn’t have any experience leading people, planning things. He usually just went with what his brother decided and things worked out for the best. But that clearly wasn’t going to work this time. So he was at a loss.
Suddenly, as if from nowhere, a personage appeared to the rebels. She was woman, a beautiful woman. Her pale, ivory skin glowed in the darkness giving her an angelic quality. She had long, blonde framing her face and her dress was a peerless white. As she appeared over the table, she looked glumly down at them.
“I am Lolita,” she stated plainly, “And I am here to help you.”
The crowd fell silent as she hovered above them. Could she really help?
