Jareth was back in the Slums, at least the sections of it which the fires were fought in, and quelled---at least for the time being.
Most of the Western Defending Wall was sacked, and the siege weapons were placed in the holes blasted through by Rhys's blackpowder explosions.--Yes, all to his Master's plans, things were falling into place.
"Arcix" Jareth spoke, as another knight came to his side, apparently by his banners and sigils, he was a high ranking soldier in the Gilt-Leaf, well...as high as a regular Mercenary would be without retaining a Lord Status, let alone a Commanding Position.
"Yes Swamp Lord." Arcix spoke, bowing quickly then returning to his stance, "What is it that you command?"
"The fires in these districts, we put them out, with no help of Harlen. What I want you to do is issue the order to evacuate any and all Bern Civilians out of the slums--Children, Men, Women, Whores, Animals, get them out of the city."
"But aren't we here?" Arcix spoke up, "Rhys ordered us to only concern ourself with the task at hand--assist Harlen in this revolution, then assassinate the royal family. That was all we were tasked to do, that was all we were paid to do."
"Arcix, a city divided is a city which we are faced with." Jareth spoke, "We lost a few men in this raid, Harlen lost more. The Civilians in the Western and Southern Slums were targeted by Bern generals and they're possessions are burned to the ground. If we can recruit them, and instill favor into their troops, then we may begin to gain the upper hand in this war." Jareth spoke, "As Champion of the Gilt-Leaf, you have no choice. You will begin evacuating them, and the moment Harlen troops interfere, Kill Katrine's troops. Our deal is through Rhys, not through her. This will also allow us to gain some confidence out of the civilians." Jareth spoke.
"Give a peasant a sword, you win a warrior--put confidence in his heart, you win the war." Arcix spoke, as he nodded. "I'll begin to do so now. What of you Mi'Lord?"
"I'll continue with my job--I'm currently enthralled by a Knight-General from Bern...he fights with two blades, and moves in a strange way." Jareth spoke. "killing him will give me more credit than his commanding officer." Jareth spoke.
"You've nothing to prove Mi Lord." Arcix spoke, "But a Hunt is vital for the Gilt-Leaf. I'll begin the preparations."
"You're on your way Arcix, the Mist Lord was recently lost wasn't he?" Jareth spoke.
"Indeed he was sir." Arcix's elvish smile split his face. "Indeed he was."
Jareth began his march with 5 Archers only.
Passing by Lady Katrine he paused for a moment.
"I'm taking the East Quarter. You'll see Harlen flags up within 2 hours time." Jareth spoke.
"I doubt you'll be able to do that without my troops." The lady barked at him.
"Do as I command, Lady Katrine. Get the seige engines up in the blasted holes, when you see the flags on the Eastern Blockade, Commence firing on the Grand Castle."
