Personality: As a princess, and a rather important figure due to her Hereditor status, Lenne is somewhat conceited and arrogant. She expects the best for herself and those she deems worthy, and is always demanding. She does have good within her, though, and in spite of her greed she can be charitable. Lenne has always focused herself on learning to become a ruler, but has found that she is lacking in qualities to be a capable one.
Background: Lenne is the daughter of King Harold of Parvati and his wife, Queen Ethnia. As the eldest child of her generation, Lenne was not expected to have the Hereditor blood within her- but when her infant hands were laid upon the sacred Godess' Aura tome, it glowed. Thus, a great war began.
Lenne did not know her mother for long. Queen Ethnia passed on mere days after her daughter's birth, leaving Lenne to be raised by her uncle's wife, Rhea. The family was happy for a long time, but a dark cloud hung over all of the adults that Lenne could never figure out...
It happened so quickly after her father's death that Lenne could barely get a hold of herself. The person she loved most was taken from her, and not even a day afterward, she was being rushed out of the capital by sobbing peasants, who told her that a coup was being staged to remove her from contention for the throne. They even said that her uncle had brought in warriors from other kingdoms to crush those who would fight for her.
With only her loyal knight Ferd at her side, and her uncle's combined military might against her, she was at an extreme disadvantage. And she had not even the knowledge of why she was being opposed.

Name: Ess of Shivan

Weapon of choice: Longsword; as a nomad, he has also learned the fighting styles of most common melee weapons (dagger, quarterstaff, etc) and bare-hand combat.

Precious metals and gems are also carefully hidden within the folds of Ess's tattered clothing, which he uses to store prepared magics. His longsword is a folded 'watersteel' blade with a thin diamond rod running through it and barely visible stripe of platinum down the hilt. It rests conveniently at his waist, sheath attached on the left of his hip.

Personality: At a mere 17 years of age, Ess clearly has not yet come to full with his abilities. However, as the Hereditor to a disliked nation, he feels a certain duty to the people of Shivan that fertilizes his aspirations. He believes knowledge to be one of the strongest forms of power and wealth, and has dedicated his life to becoming a stargazer, loremaster, scientist, and educator. He tries to pass on knowledge whenever he can, in the hopes that his advances in the realm of knowledge will not be lost.

As an advanced stargazer, Ess has learned how to 'channel' a portion of natural energy; it is by this means that he manages to perform 'magic.' This knowledge provides Ess with a nearly unlimited source of raw energy; unfortunately, as the power is channeled (as opposed to self-contained), it takes preparation time proportional to the desired task. As well, by drawing energy from a natural source, every open channel of power risks damaging the surrounding area (proportional, as well, to the desired task and energy).

Ess' biggest downfall is politics. He sees through lies often enough, and that flowery language that politicians so often use makes him nauseous. "Meat and potatoes," his favorite meal--unfortunately, it's also the one he gets rarest. This is not to say he lacks patience--on the contrary, he has a large amount of that.

Background: Ess doesn't know much of his heritage. His mother died during childbirth; as a woman loved by many, it was a hard blow. As such, people don't bring her up much, despite a young boy's questions. Ess' father was just a minor, and not high-ranking at that. He has one older brother, Pel; the two brothers hardly speak to each other, however, due to blame and guilt for their mother's death. Simply put, Pel blames Ess for her death.

Ess was brought before the Night Sword by his father, T'hare, as is customary for all new-born babes. Immediately, the Holy Weapon glowed in response. From then on, Ess was trained as a Hereditor ought to be--intense studying and training.

Extra: Ess' loyalty lies with his tribe first and foremost. Due to close relations, he has mentally adopted key figures from the Gael (such as the Empress, who grants refuge to the Shivan) into the tribe, and trusts them as such.

Also, Ess is quickly approaching his Coming of Age ceremony, at which he is expected to take a wife for himself and keep the tribe populated. He has received a few hints at open selections, but has shown no interest; he has, however, admitted that he must begin searching if he hopes to come of Age.

Personality: Pure, refined innocence, without taint—these are all ways to describe the mortal titled as ‘She-Who-Speaks-With-The-GodsE No being more loves the world then the Apostle. A naivetEfor the dirty and dark hearts of mankind make her the beloved younger sister of the entire Lisao people. She is a being who cries for her enemies that would strike her, forgive those who betrayed her as if they were lifelong friends. A being who is said to “step one foot in this world, and the other in the nextE But behind all of that it is easy to forget that the Apostle is a young woman after all. While she offers comfort and peace to all, no one can she turn to for her own. And upon thinking thus she can only shun herself away from such selfishness. Lisao seeks not followers, but friends. No seat is lonelier then the throne of Magi.

Background: Chosen at birth, even as a child Lisao was treated with respect that towered even Kings. Completely understanding the words of the Gods, mastering with the staff bestowed upon her, and seeking what it is the Gods wish her to do—these are the atypical teenage aspirations of Apostle Lisao. Apart from the many ceremonies that occupy her time, she often reads from the grand library or reads news from overseas. She admits she cannot imagine the grand world outside the small confines of her own, and would be lying if she said she did not seek it. While she has left the Tower of Magi on occasion those have been few and far between, and not without several envoys of Templars surrounding her. And in all those occasions a horrific natural disaster had occurred, the Apostle sending the souls of the dead and healing those who fell to harm. It isEnfortunate that she only able to see the world at its worst.

Her older sister Idine was always a woman the Apostle looked up to, even though she is told repeatedly that she is to look to none other than the Gods. Her desire for a sisterhood would not be granted, however. She always had the feeling that Idine disliked her, maybe even hated her. Was it because she could wield the staff and Idine could not? Why shouldEuch a little thing ruin a sister’s love?

Sir Arvay replaces the aged Templar Commander Sir Jurent. Many days the only face she sees is his. While he is excessively devout and overly formal, he is full of stories (he would call them ‘reportsE that tell of a wondrous and vast realm. Regardless his fervor he is a young man, and is much more likened to sharing teas and speaking almost as he would among friends then Sir Jurent ever would. But it was never long before something reminded him of the Apostle’s station, and he would promptly apologize and return to zealous obedience. The Apostle wishes he would forget what she was completely, but that is just a selfish girl’s dream.

Appearance:

Personality: Idine is a very mature woman. She grew up fast in attempt to throw away her wretched childhood that fate forced upon her. In failing to handle the Staff of Grand Blessing, faces of disappointment and conceited frowns surrounded her every step she took. Her family, no, the entire Lisao people seemed to disapprove of her existence. No matter her genius, no matter her talents—she simply wasn’t loved. So to hide from their disappointment Idine was fine with being forgotten. The Apostle’s birth made that easy enough. A cold spitefulness polished into colder ambition. That is our lovely Lady Idine.

Background: The world was without it’s Apostle. Lisao was without a clear and strong ruler in the Tower. But the birth of this baby girl, it was to change everything. Imagine the hopes of an entire nation crushed upon hearing the child’s failure to be Hereditor. As a teenage her outcries for attention brought severe disdain upon her by relatives, but daring acts thrilled her. Upon her younger sister’s birth and her Assumption as Apostle, she was all but forgotten. The Gods had taken from her the prestige of millions, in return for freedom. Thirsty for powers wrought by her own hands Idine uses her brilliant mind and flimsy morals to outmaneuver and empower herself over others. She is the dark mind behind the Church, and she is the hidden strongarm behind the Apostle’s innocent face.

Her affair with Arvay (which was supposed to lead to marriage) was to greaten her influence and control as the wife of Lisao’s major blood carrier. Those bastards of his family tried to set her up with mule-farmer of a husband, but she knew better. Marriage was necessary since she hadn’t been careful and gotten herself pregnant, but everything else went according to plan. Her husband and son were dead and she needn’t do anything that wasn’tE pleasure. Arvay’s 180-personality turn was certainly inconvenient, but Idine saw opportunity. Blackmailing Arvay would grant her a hand that dined with the Apostle and Kings of foreign lands.

Appearance: Her hair is shorter, only hip-length.
Personality: Brigid is tough and independent, and doesn't rely on anyone for anything. Sure, she has her boys, but she never entertains illusions that they're super loyal to her. Brigid has always made her own way in life, and has been hardened by her father's rejection. The strained relations she has with her families has caused Brigid to completely resent royalty.
Background: Brigid is an odd case. Both of her parents are incredibly important people, so it's odd that she is now a mere bandit.
Her father is King Mananan of Makar and her mother is Queen Lahna of Jacintho. This makes her the half-sister of King Eltosian and Prince Nikhil. However, Brigid was kept a secret due to the fact that she was illegitamite. She was raised with care, not exposed to the public, but not abused at all.
But her father's worst fear was realized when Brigid was a mere fifteen years old. She was brought, as tradition dictates, to touch the Dragon's Bow Naga. And it glowed. Mananan didn't know what to do, so he officially disowned the girl. Angry, Brigid fled Jungvy Castle and went to live in the forests. She became a bandit, and swore revenge on her family. Makar, for sending her away- and Jacintho, for refusing to take her after her humiliation.
Brigid also swore to get Naga, for it was her birthright- but her father and brother were utterly opposed to it.
Extra: Brigid leads a group of bandits within the Makar Forests. She refuses to let them attack villagers and the poor, instead focusing them on stealing from the nobility and assisting the poor.

Name: Shudin

Weapon of choice: Twin broadswords. both have semi-ornate black hilts, while their blades are made of a transparent crystal blue material roughly equivellant to steel. Shorik can easily wield one or both of these swords at once.

Appearance: Shudin stands at 5'11", and has a well-toned body. His medium length hair is blonde, while his eyes are sapphire blue. In terms of clothing, Shudin wears simple black boots, cloth pants, and shirt. He also wears black leather gauntlets, steel pauldrons, and a steel chestplate.

Personality: Shudin is generally a kind young man. He is open to socializing with others, as well as helping them out, if he likes. He is also a fairly capable leader, able to calm down panicked warriors, and create effective combat tactics.

As much as he can, Shudin seeks enjoyment in life. He has an issue with loyalty and duty, though. As he sees it, his loyalty must be earned. Because of this thought, Shudin will easily forsake duty for his own desires, if they conflict with one another.

Background: Shudin was born to Jarren, a respected Shivan warrior. Who his mother was is not known to most, including Shudin himself. What can be confirmed is that Shudin has Major blood.

Shudin, for a while, wondered who his mother was, and continually asked his father. However, Jarren would avoid the question everytime. Soon enough, Shudin gave up, and got used to not knowing or having a mother. Other Shivans, however, continued to generate their own guesses. Some figured Shudin's mother was one of the elders. Others thought she may have been Mariccle's wife. A few others guessed she was a lowly whore. In the majority of these cases however, it would mean Shudin's mother is dead.

Being raised by his father alone, Shudin was trained in combat. He picked up on it quickly, and by the age of 17, he became a hunter. During one of his hunts, his group had been ambushed by bandits. The majority of Shudin's fellow hunters were newbies like him, and panicked, wanting to flee. Shudin took control of things, though, and in the end, the bandits were defeated.

Shudin's actions with the bandits had gained him respect amongst his tribe. Around this time, though, Jarren died in battle. Shudin met, and began courting Lady Lilei, and with her help, he managed to adjust. Soon, Shudin was made a commander of Shivan's forces.

Today, Shorik is still courting Lady Lilei, and feels fairly content with his life. Something that's poking at him, though, is the idea among some of the Shivans that Shudin should succeed Mariccle when his time comes. Personally, Shudin does not wish to rule. However, with Mariccle's health declining, and Ess not of age yet, he may have no choice in the matter...

Personality:
Devotion- Allastor is a man who has traveled from one end of the continent to the other. Although he is often times only seen out of the corner of people's eyes, it is without a doubt known that his loyalty to the Sons of Falablaze exceeds his own House loyalty. He has spent the better part of a decade scouring the lands for the ancient tome and the hereditor to wield it. Although like many Tupa before him, his family pledged their loyalty to the Stormrage House of Joachim. He has fought for them ever since.

Nobility-
Although he is not of complete Noble blood, Allastor is in fact the Tupa Hereditor. Although he has no real aspirations to lead his nation, he believes that his Uncle (King Vector) is far better suited for such demeaning and cowardly duties. He was classically trained in combat with Spears and Swords and very slight magical use. (Although this is limited to slight physical augmentation- Berserking, slight haste work, and really that's it) He is relatively intelligent and when presented with someone or something more intelligent than he, he shows complete and total respect to them as a superior.

Sons of Falablaze-
A rather strange group of individuals, they seek the Missing Tome Falablaze to once again bring order to Joachim. Although many of the members are not even capable of wielding the tome, they all have made the decision that with an identified ruler, they would be able to bring peace once again to the disorderly nation. Allastor holds a relatively high position in the Sons, however it has been shown that this may only be because of his birthright, as he has only been a part of it for 10 years, whereas some people have searched their entire lives.

Stormrage Family-
A Joachim Nobility, Allastor was the ward brought in to replace Sybil, the Ward who was killed by Flik when he first began training with the Auigrand. Allastor was brought into the Stormrage family at the suggestion of King Vector as well Vector's younger Brother Alleiren (Allastor's father). Although it may have been uncertain if Vector's decision to do this was to remove the possibility of having a rival ruler in his nation, Allastor shows no real concern for Tupa. He believes that restoring peace and stability to Joachim is far more important than leading a nation such as Tupa.

Combat Skills-
Without question Allastor Stormrage is one of the most competent and talented fighters within the Son's of Falablaze. It was stated that his swordsmanship was without equal (although this is proven false, as he has lost to various Knights of other nations). King Vector always chastised Allastor for his decision to train in various swords styles over Spear Combat. This is more of a conscious decision on Allastor's part to further distance himself from the Nation of Tupa. Although he is a talented Spear Knight, he prefers fighting with a 2- handed Claymore in his left hand known as “Adramalach”. It was said that in random Skirmishes he was able to fight against 5 Paladins, 4 Archers, and 2 Mages and slaughter them all. It seems that while 'berserking' he gains some immunity lower and mid level magics. (Although obviously a talented Magus would have to work a bit to target the 'Blood Knight')

Name: Viscount Vermillion de Fonce de Lukiel (or Milli.)

Age: 19

Weapon of choice: I suppose if he was really in a pinch he could throw a book at you, but his arms might be too twiggy. He'd probably miss.

Appearance:

The first thing anyone thinks when they see Milli is, "Good lord, he's ill." He's sickly thin, rather pale, and somewhat . . . effeminate. Too much constrictive clothing makes him woozy, so he dresses more simply than most of the Lukiel family. His hair is typically flat and shineless - the poor thing is ill so often that he's never once grown a healthy head of hair - and typically in his face, unless one of his attendants intervenes to pin it out of his eyes. He's too scatterbrained to do it himself. Weighing in at a whopping 105 pounds for his 5'6" frame, the Viscount looks more like a human coat hanger than anything else.

Personality: Viscount Milli is hopelessly timid, and this isn't helped by how sheltered he is. Due to his "condition" (explained in "Background"), his life has been one long montage of people telling him what he wants to hear. He doesn't really now how to deal with crises or anything that doesn't fit into his comfortable little world. Milli relates better with books and butter tea than he does with people, so he spends most of his time shut up in his room or his study, quietly educating himself. He's a people-pleaser, or at least he tries to be, and can't abide confrontations or disagreements. Read: he's a huge pushover. Anytime things get even the slightest bit tense, he'll instantly fold to avoid a conflict. He's kindhearted, but he doesn't really understand others enough to be compassionate. However, he can be a little superior at times, and as much as he tries to avoid displeasing others, it completely goes over his head whenever he hurts someone's feelings or says something tactless. One he finally realizes it, however, he'll probably spend the next week or so apologizing profusely.

Background: The Viscount was born with a rare condition specific to the Lukiel line that is comparable to "emotional hemophilia." In the same way that a hemophiliac can bleed to death from a minor cut, if Milli experiences an emotional disturbance or a heavy spiritual or mental blow, he can literally waste away and die if not consoled immediately. Because of this, his entire family, court, and phalanx of assistants spent all their energy on making sure he was never upset or disappointed. He nearly died at age 8 when his nursemaid passed away, and the sorrow he suffered incited his condition. Since then, he has been kept completely unaware of every death in his family - he is told, like a child, that whoever passed away "went on a long trip for their health." Because he's been so sheltered all his life, Milli believes this, along with every other lie he's ever been told to avoid a life-threatening emotional upheaval.
His mother, the Marquess of Lukiel, has been trying desperately to find someone to betrothe him to, but worries that the minefield of love (or lack therof) is the one thing certain to kill him. She is considering allowing him to remain single and simply passing the line of inheritance to his younger brother, Chartreuse, who doesn't suffer the condition. The Viscount has no opinion on the matter, because he's too afraid to.

Extra: All of his time spent locked up in his room has given Vermillion time to get very good at a lot of useless things, like playing the flute, calligraphy, baking tiny quiches, and needlepoint. He'd make a lovely housewife. He also keeps many pet rats, despite his immediate family's hatred of animals and the housemaid's squeamishness, because the small rodents calm him down.

Name: Lesser Viscount Chartreuse de Claire de Lukiel (but you can call him Char if you want, honey).

Age: 17

Appearance:

Unlike his brother, Chartreuse is stunning. With charmingly messy blonde hair, sparkling green eyes, and a smile that just won't quit, Char is the beau of every ball, and he knows it. And it's not just his looks - the Lesser Viscount carries himself with a breezy, casual grace that just draws people to him. He dresses in a way that scandalizes his parents - almost like a commoner! - but he knows how to dress up when he needs to. He's not very tall, standing at only about 5'8", but he seems larger than life (admittedly, many of his boots sport small 'man-heels,' and that helps, too).

Personality: Char is just a great big ball of vitality. He lights up every room he's in, and he simply can't be without people. A social creature, he can't spend more than a few moments alone before going off to seek out someone to talk to. He's frustrated and hurt by his brother's standoffish behavior, so he's replaced Vermillion with a battalion of socialites about his age. He adores his mother, and is forever trying to cheer her up. Chartreuse loves to organize balls and feasts, and it hasn't seemed to sink in for him that the Lukiel family is at war. He prefers to ignore it and just go on having fun. He loves music and women, and can't get enough of either. He's absolutely terrified by the prospect of the line of power being turned over to him instead of Vermillion, because being the next Marquis means two things: a.) Responsibility (oh, gods!), and b.) getting married (sweet heavens deliver him!). Because of this, he's spent an inordinate amount of time scheming to get his brother out of his shell and turn him into a suitable leader. After all, if Duke Barbo were ever to die without an heir, Char does not want this whole hot mess to be his problem. No. Thank. You.

Background: Because everyone always spent so much time fussing over Vermillion, Chartreuse always had to fight for attention. This struggle is what molded him into the charismatic young man that he is now, but it might've gone overboard. He and his brother were much closer as children, but when it became apparent that Char's flamboyant energy upset Vermillion's delicate temperament, the younger noble was allowed less and less time around his brother. This frustration caused Chartreuse to act out as a child and even more as he grew. Now, he pretends not to be upset by his isolation from the Viscount by drowning himself in sex and parties.

Extra: Chartreuse hates animals. Hates them. Hates, hates, hates, hates, hates - and he hates manual labor even more, not that he's ever suffered enough of it to really know what it's like. His parents want him to learn some actual combat skills - as, unlike Vermillion, he's actually healthy enough to do so - but Char thinks that's too much work.

Name: Sonya. Just Sonya.
Age: 26

House: A peasant, low down on that political food chain.

Holy blood: Not a damn drop! And that’s probably a good thing, too.

Weapon of choice: She isn’t much of a mage, but she is quick with the dagger she always keeps on her leg. Besides that, Sonya is more of a woman of opportunity and will scrabble for whatever she can get her hands on in a time of need. But those big eyes and quick tongue of hers are usually the only things she uses to get out of a bad situation.

Personality: Notorious but able to disappear in a breath, cunning and charming but known to get into the worst situations, Sonya isn’t a woman most people want to be associated with...Or be around at all, really. She is too poor to be a woman of material things, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t appreciate them…and the people who have them. Sonya gets what she wants. What she wants is usually what’s in your pocket. And she’s got no qualms about taking some weight off your hands. She is noticeable in a crowd for many reasons, her fiery attitude and ability to get into every sort of trouble being a notable few, but it’s near impossible to get past her surface. She is as mysterious as the ocean and its deep waters, and damn near as dangerous. This is not to say that she is without her morals. No, Sonya has her own twisted code that she follows rigidly. Lying, cheating, and stealing are naturally not above her, but in some forms she avoids it. For instance, she would never steal from the poor or cheat an innocent man. You’d be hard-pressed to find her a man she deemed innocent, however. Any poor boy who’s fallen prey to her enticing ways would tell you that he’d woken in the morning a bit roughed-up and with empty pockets. And it’s a safe bet that at least one other in the room could testify to a similar fate at the hands of the sly woman. In short, Sonya is a devious woman with a motive behind every action. She is not, under any circumstance, to be trusted, though she’ll do anything in her power to make you think otherwise.

Background: Sonya is a mysterious woman, as I’ve said, and there is very little known about her character, let alone where she came from. She claims to have been born in Lisao or to have moved there when she was just a little girl, but the pious town wasn’t exactly suited for a woman of her nature. So she moved from place to place, sometimes working at inns to make a little cash, sometimes living near the castles and all their grandeur, and sometimes disappearing into the woods of Makar, which she seems to favor. Even if Sonya wanted to stay in one place, which she very much does not, she is more often than not on the wrong side of the law and always finds herself in need of skipping town.

Weapon of choice: Morrigan uses dark magic, the magic type known only by the Itzlan people. She is exceptionally gifted in using dark magic, but it comes at a great price.
Appearance:
Personality: Contrary to her 'angry witch' demeanor, Morrigan can be quite soft and kind, when she wants to be. She is hateful and venomous to most people, though, because 90% of the people in the world are unwashed philistines whom Morrigan has no need of. If one displays any kind of self-awareness or intelligence, Morrigan is instantly won over, and becomes very attached to this person.
