Powers: Poison Emission, Janelle is able to discharge a poisonous substance from just the tip of her finger tips. The effects of this can be quite dangerous even to the point of death, except she does know how to control the level of poison she releases so more than likely she only uses it to stun. The poison spreads rather fast and is practically unable to be stopped unless Janelle is stopped. When using this power, her eyes flash a black that is the most dark any black can be and her touch is deadly.
Clairvoyance, Janelle is also able to gain information about people, locations, or things with just one look at them or thought. This is often referred to as being psychic like, but it is far more complicated than it seems. Janie cannot read thoughts, no there isn’t anything such as being telepathic with her. She is just able to get a run down on something just from her senses alone.

Personality: Despite appearing sweet and innocent Janelle is the exact opposite. The girl is Trouble with a capital T. She is very provocative; possibly too provocative. She’s confident with her body, which comes across as being a whore-ish to which she quickly denies despite working nine to five as an exotic dancer in a strip club. In her mind, she’s just a dancer, someone who entertains others while just so happening to take their top off. She knows that it’s wrong to think that way, but she just does. She just gets a thrill out of taking her clothing off. Another thing about Janelle that is important would be her boldness. She’s willing to do anything and everything, which is quite courageous. Adding to that would be her mouth, something that definitely turns people off and gets her into sticky situations often. She’s offensively brash and will say whatever, even if that means appearing to someone else as a bitch. Possibly one of the worst qualities about Jane is her willingness to take direction from authority. She doesn’t take it well without a proper reason why she should and sometimes that doesn’t go over well unless pay is involved. While Janelle has the sixth sense of clairvoyance and is open with her body she doesn’t know herself that well. Even after the introduction to her powers she remained lost in the world.

Background: Born in a common family that consisted of a mother, father, and two sisters, Janelle was always the child that seemed to cause trouble whether it was at home or away at school. Because of that, her parent's constantly scolded her. They knew that if she didn't calm down then she was destined for a life of hardship and trouble. Her parent's words went unheard as the both of them pissed Janie off excessively. She didn't care for anything they had to say and that was what she wanted them to get. She couldn't take being around them, her house, just everything around her anymore so one normal day on her way to school she just left. She left her family, all her possessions, and her life behind at her Texas home and ran away for Atlanta, Georgia. With no diploma, no proper job skills, or anything or person to fall back on Janelle went to her last resort which just so happened to be stripping, "Exotic Dancing" if you ask her. The pay was more than decent and she felt as though she belonged somewhere for the first time in her life. Though her loving family is still looking for her till this day, Jane has gone on to try to forget about them completely. That part of her life is permanently erased.

Camouflage - Can blend perfectly with background - takes about a millisecond to change. She can also blend her clothes, too.
Tolerence - Extreme heat and cold don't affect her.
Dexterity - This isn't in the government description of her codename - but she considers it a power. Before Terrigen she was clumsy, unathletic. Now she's incredibly fast (not superhuman, though) and nimble. She can weild a dagger quite well.
Appearance:
Her eyes are a stunning onyx black - they always appear so SHINY. Her hair is a dark brown.
Personality: Aurora is a very shy person. She doesn't have the moxie that most people in her jobs realm do, she barely talks. She has difficulty controlling her emotions - hence making her powers hard to control. She embaresses easily. She hasn't changed since Terrigen, which she appreciates. She has always enjoyed reading, she likes the solitude in particular. She never seems to get lonely.
Background: She left home before Terrigen happened - she hasn't heard from her family since.

Powers- Slade’s mutation caused his skin to become extremely armored and tough against almost any attacks. It takes a considerable force to even scratch his skin much less dent it. He is able to form a force field around his body as well. Slade possess strength that is much more than the normal human. He can lift up to roughly five tons and his body reflects this strength. Slade is also able to channel his force fields into his punches and therefore increase their effectiveness into “bullets” he can shoot from his hands. This however will leave him unable to shield himself as he is releasing his force fields.

Appearance- Slade was always a large man at 6’ 5”. Before his mutation he had a muscular build but after the mists, his muscles warped and swelled until almost ridiculous size. His skin has changed into a dark green hue for some reason and he his shoulder blades have extended and risen until they form two small mounds that are roughly a foot out of his back, although the skin still stretches over them. He has shortly cropped black hair and wears black sunglasses most of the time. He wears dark blue jeans and no shirt as his torso is to large for most normal sized shirts.



Personality- Slade is pretty simple minded and has been all his life. He wants power and money, if there is an obstacle then smash it. This is not to say he is a complete imbecile he simply just believes this the absolute best way to get what he wants. He is good at fighting as he has been doing it all his life. He is pretty sarcastic and extremely arrogant in his abilities. He believes himself the most powerful being on the planet and that the mists only intensified his own power.

Backround- Slade has always been a criminal. At first he worked as a bouncer in a club however he was soon arrested when a simple scuffle turned into a murder. Slade was sentenced to ten years in prison. While in prison he was involved in multiple scuffles until he was placed in a maximum security prison and his sentence was increased to thirty years for killing a guard during an attempted break out. Once the mists came and Slade woke up he realized his strength had increased further. After that he simply “walked” out of his cell by going through the walls that held him. His force field protected him from the gun fire and soon he was able to simply destroy anything that attempted to follow him. Soon afterwards he began to pillage and rob multiple banks in the confusion that was following the first appearance of the Mists. Although he draws a lot of attention to himself, the government has other issues at hand so he is somewhat of a secondary issue. That and they have to figure out a way to stop him first.

Powers- Vincent is able to control the powers of polarity and magnetism. This includes but is not limited to, levitating metals, controlling metals, and essentially forming them into whatever he needs. Vincent is able to lift considerable weight with his powers as long as they are metal and not absurd (like an entire sky scraper). Vincent also has black wings that he keeps tucked away on his back with a special harness (think like the one that Angel had in the X Men movie).

Appearance- Vincent has long grey hair and a shallow face. His eyes are hard and dark from years of judging the world. He stands at 6’0” and has a fairly lean build. His skin is aged however the man is in no way frail. Although he could not beat most people in a physical altercation he does not look like he would fall over with a blow of the wind. He can usually be found wearing a dark suit that is far from flashy and merely looks like the attire of a dignified business man from the 1970’s.

Personality- Vincent is very wealthy as a result from his business adventures in his youth. Although he is elderly, Vincent has grand plans for the world indeed, plans that were only furthered when he was granted the gift from the mists. Although he may not be able to beat many in a physical fight, Vincent is extremely intelligent and makes full use of his intellect to win battles. His mastery of metals is his greatest ally in battle and Vincent attempts to use his intellect and his magnetism powers to find a way to win in battle. Although he is an intellectual, he has a strong belief in religion. Vincent has studied scripture extensively and believes it holds the keys to how to accomplish his goals.

Backround- Vincent was an extremely prominent chemist that made several break-throughs in his field. He worked alongside Cyrus Valentine before he left when his work was considered “unsafe for such close proximity to civilians” by his supervisors. Vincent left and began working in his own lab, in the basement of his private mansion located in the Montana forests. Vincent is extremely wealthy, this comes from both prior investments and inheritance from his parents.

Rank: No official rank, but has no physical drawbacks, so she's probably a Delta or an Alpha.
Powers: Undetectable, teleportation, invisibility. Christmas also has a 'mind shield' that protects her mind from less powerful mind-readers, and is developing this talent as best as she can. Christmas is not a combatant, and will strive to stay away from confrontation. With her abilities, this is fairly easy to do.
Appearance:
Personality: During working hours, you'll see a sweet, very attentive young woman who'll smile at anything and be just about as agreeable as a person can be. However, after 8:30 AM, Christmas Daley becomes a cynical, abrasive person. The service mask is just that; a mask. Among other things, she just wants to be left alone, and her job just complicates that.
Background: Two parents, a brother and a sister. Terrigen happens. Just a sister. Christmas is now raising her six-year-old sister, Melanie, alone with little to no help. Being mutants, they're barred from government financial assistance, so Christmas works two jobs to keep them with a roof over the head and to pay for Melanie's piano lessons. They're not rich, but they're not living under a box. Christmas currently lives in Washington DC and works in The Silky Dishtowel, a diner, and as a laundromat attendant.

Powers- Power of Suggestion, Limited Clairaudience (Patient’s History), Hypnosis
Power of Suggestion: Often confused as mind control Jules is able to instill strong desires in an individual to do certain tasks, but these tasks must first be within the target’s present state of mind. That is to say he cannot force a man to jump off a building if that man is not suicidal. It is not a power but rather a natural and trained ability of the psychiatrist to shape the state of mind of his patients.
Clairaudience: The words of a person give Labrousse unnaturally great insight into the history and background of the speaker, in a way showing the memory to him as if he was there. He is able to use such details and along with hypnosis perverse memories which lead to misconceptions and doubt.
Hypnosis: With a soothing voice Jules is able to lull his patient into a trancelike state, where the subject is neither conscious nor asleep. In this state the patient cannot lie or say anything but the truth, and whose mind is more open to the psychiatrist. Once in such a state only Jules’s command to awake, physical trauma or a day’s rest away from him can snap the patient out of it.

Appearance- Jules has a feminine-looking face and curly black hair. The Frenchman has a pair of light green eyes and a pair of square-framed specs. Always professional Labrousse wears a suit and tie, often in comfortable colors. His body language is such that it appears he is very interested into what you are saying, even if he isn’t. Not only is this good practice for a psychiatrist, its good manners. He’s the kind of gentleman who always carriers a handkerchief in one pocket and a watch in the other. A pair of Lacoste dress shoes comes standard, given where he’s from.

Personality- You could label Jules as an open-minded intellectual. His goals are not fame or fortune, but to expand his knowledge on the wondrous mysteries of the human mind. The Frenchman’s curiosity was perhaps the strongest driving force behind him gaining his doctorate in psychiatry. Unlike others in his field he never held a desire to help people, but rather to learn from them. And while his manners and kind voice would make him appear empathetic, he views his patients as experiments not unlike a scientist would lab rats. He has through medical journals and research papers contributed much knowledge to the medical community on topics dealing with darker aspects of the mind, gaining quite the following among some of his peers-even while he is looked down upon by the majority.

Background- Born in the slums of Troyes, France, Labrousse was raised in a large house with many women and many bedrooms. A whorehouse. While their profession wasn’t the most noble by any stretch of the imagination, they were good-hearted women who took care of a young orphan. This was until Jules was a young teenager and his long-lost father came to “rescue” him. The man might have came off a bit better if he wasn’t hammered. During the next few years Jules followed his father around working jobs and basically cleaning up after him, all while trying to teach himself through school.

Finding work in the French Foreign Legion Jules and his father spent a short while in Aubagne in Southern France. His father turned out to be a wash-out and got into a big fight with his commanding officer, and what happened to him he took out on his son. Unwilling to work he relied completely on Jules to make the money and keep them both fed. After wasting the money his son was saving for tuition to a local community college on booze Jules snapped. The old man died a cruel death, strapped to the back of the chair in a dark room filled with the stench of a dead dog and maggots to boot. The man officially died of dehydration.

With a fresh start in life Labrousse drove himself into his books, fascinated in psychology particularly. It was in a local library did he meet his sweetheart Charlotte, but it was not meant to be. He loved her so immensely and thought that she felt the same way towards him, but this wasn’t the case. One day upon returning some books he borrowed he found her with another guy engaging in a certain activity. Their fates where far from desirable. The guy in less than two months of mental torture got a sex change and ended up in a mental institution. Charlotte ended up killing her parents and hanging herself.

In his twenties he got his doctorate and became a full-fledged psychiatrist. He set up practice in Paris and this is when he started experimenting on his patients. Labrousse caused in his patients an array of mental disorders, learning a great deal about them that he couldn’t find in books. Eventually the serial killings lead back to him and he was arrested at the age of 27. He spent the next four years in prison, until Terrigen happened. During this time he had experimented on his fellow inmates, causing gang wars and fouler things with but a few words. Jules escaped the prison during the chaos and now begins his practice anew in Washington DC.

Name: Jack Fujibashi
Government Codename: Undergrowth (I didn't exactly like the codename Nightbloom, so I changed it)
Age: 39
Occupation: Botanist. . . of some kind.
Rank: This has been discussed thoroughly, but he's been placed at Beta.
Powers: Plant Control: Jack commands plants. Easy as that. He can promote growth at supernatural levels as long as the plants being effected on have earth and water, sunlight isn't a requirement but it makes the growth easier on him. If the plant has a parasite or a plague (be it fungi, bacterial or animal) any kind of control over it becomes harder or impossible to effectuate. Although algae don't fall into the Plantae Kingdom, Jack has command over them too, but not on Fungi though.
Plant Characteristics: The reason for the "Is Undergrowth a Beta or an Alpha?" discussion. Roots in his feet, appearing bark on his torso, sudden leaves in his hair and the ability to photosynthesize are physical drawbacks as well as powers. The roots and photosynthesis allow him to be nurtured in a different way (although he still needs sleep and proper eating once every week, at least), bark consititutes armor (of the weakest kind, Jack peels it off as he doesn't like it) and the leaves in his hair aid in photosynthesis (They appear every time he abuses human photosynthesis, but he rips them off too).
Plant Empathy: A power he controls but doesn't take as a power. Jack thinks he can percieve the vague string of emotions plants have out of pure natural talent. He knows what they feel without really knowing he knows. What can I say? The man is absurd.

Appearance: Although Jack is a dedicated scientist, he does not wear a lab coat nor has fuzzy hair. He does wear glasses and a high IQ to match. The botanist likes to keep his black hair short and combed, but his hair isn't into staying combed. He has treebark-brown eyes with an undecided stare. Beige pants and buttoned shirt are his everyday clothes, nothing too fancy. A tall guy and one who looks wimpy, he really doesn't stand out in a crowd. After all, the very small roots in his feet are covered by sandals - which he doesn't need as his feet have become sturdier and more resistant. The bark in his torso is covered by his clothes, when it appears and the plants in his hair are not considered out of the ordinary when they're there.

Personality: Jack is not a talker, until you get him started on a topic of his knowledge and/or interest. His scientific mind works everyday and extra hours even. Always looking for a reason to things, especially those concerning the Plantae Kingdom; he's thirsty for knowledge and the thousands of experiments he conducts have further knowedge as an objective. Jack has been called a loon, as his methods are. . . uncommon to say the least, as is his attitude. Plants have been his addiction since his younger years and it is not strange to see him without a weird carnivorous plant or an oddly shaped cactus in hands.

Background: Not a very outstanding story, Jack's. But very few are; he was raised on Chicago, his father's job kept the man family traveling. One of the times the father took his family with him, they visited the Sequoia Tree Reserve in California, all he could do was stare in awe. Another time he went into a botany museum, slowly but steadily he became a distinct follower of the world of plants. When he was around 23, all his family moved to far Rhode Island. Jack stayed behind in Chicago, he already had a job on a medical research institute which left a decent payment. Terrigen happened and Jack became more of a loon. He was fired, but with the help of Charles Xavier and some woman, he started to concentrate all his studies and concerns on developing different medications and other classified works for mutants. He became an associate of Xavier but has lost contact with him since his latest project started to consume all his time and interest. Jack has barely any idea of what is happening outside his house/study/greenhouse/office/lab.

Name: Keegan Dory

Occupation: Student, Part-Time Record Store Employee

Powers: Thermo-Chemical Energy Generation and Discharge: Keegan is able to produce and concentrate Thermo-Chemical Energy into forceful explosions which he can launch through his hands and feet.
Flight: As stated earlier, Keegan can release built-up Thermo-Chemical Energy from his hands and feet which can propel him through the sky and give him great momentum for forceful strikes.
However, there are drawbacks to Keegan’s mutation. The amount of energy that he generates and contains could easily be wasted in a short amount of time (considering that it takes time for him to produce energy). And Keegan could easily generate too much energy that he may not be able to keep contained (which could lead to unexpected discharge of pent up energy).
Appearance: Keegan is of Hawaiian descent which gives his skin the slight tint of toffee. His dark (almost black) brown hair, which falls down to shoulder length, is always a bit messy, often falling in his eyes. But Keegan tends to put his hair into a short ponytail to keep it tamed. Keegan’s eyes are a natural hazel color that always seem slightly fiery with passion and excitement. He stands at a medium height of 5’9”, a healthy size with a good build. His face is very thin and chiseled with a pointy nose and strong jaw line. After Terrigen, Keegan acquired distinctive choppy, bright red streaks throughout his brown hair, his eyes seem to have traces of red when in the right light as well. Keegan has also become slightly more muscular with a bit more build to him. He doesn’t have much of a sense of style. His wardrobe usually consists of medium fitting blue jeans with random rips and ruggedness to them, a plain white T shirt with a colored track jacket over it, and a pair of worn sneakers. Keegan also usually has a pair of pilot goggles settled on his forehead which he wears when in flight.
Personality: Before Terrigen, he had always been more of a down-to-earth kind of person but after the mutation Keegan became very much an extrovert. It could be blamed on the build up of energy within his body which makes him very lively or just a better sense of confidence after receiving his powers. He has become very competitive and loves a challenge but has the flaw of not thinking before acting. This could make him come off as aggressive and strong minded. He is slightly hot-headed at times. But Keegan also has a charismatic and charming side to him.
Background: As a young boy and throughout most of his teenage years, Keegan lived on the island of Maui, Hawaii. He was born into a typical, middle-class American family with a mother and father who both worked 9-5 jobs. He was able to keep himself busy for most of his childhood as Keegan spent a lot of time outside, at the beach, living the life of any other kid. The transition into Keegan’s teenage years was a little bit rocky and emotionally tolling. His parents divorced and he joined his mother in the move to Cincinnati, Ohio. There was a slight difference between the islands and Ohio with no beaches nearby. But he was able to start his life over again with little enthusiasm, only visiting his father every now and then. At the age of 18, Keegan moved to Pittsburgh to live on his own and go to school. Terrigen then occurred and gave Keegan a burst of energy and a new outlook. He is still trying to get by in life, paying bills and tuition with a part-time job at a small record store.

Occupation- Historian / Knowledge whore

Powers- Derrik's powers include increased Size and incredible strength. He also has the ability to let out a roar that creates a sonic wave that can stop a speeding truck. He can also withstand incredible amounts of damage, but that may be due to his increased muscle size and amounts of fur. However the power he enjoys is the increased brian size. He is able to hold in more knowledge and has a photographic memory. He retains everything he wants to He is smarter than your average bear and it is not just book smarts. He is also a very wise man bear and grasps many things easily.

Appearance- Bear stands almost 14 feet when standing upright and looks almost exactly like a giant grizzly bear except for a few diffrences. For starters, he still has apposable thumbs that he rather enjoys. He is more muscled than a normal bear but the fur hides that well. The main diffrence is that he has eyes that shows that he is far more aware than any other bear. Also he tends to wear at least a pair of torn pants that offer him some decency. He is still human after all. He tends to hide himself with a makeshift trenchcoat and a hood and mask to hide his face when he is forced to go gather essential supplies. People tend to call wildlife and fisheries when a giant bear comes walking in a town. He does not carry any weapons except his claws.

Personality- Derrik is a very calm man who does not wish harm on anyone. He is very peace loving and is the biggest Knowledge whore on the planet. He loves books and data sheets and anything new he can learn. He is timid around people because they tend to freak out when they see him. He is also very cautious and does not like suprises. The last suprise he got was a welcoming committee of hunters. He wishes to solve things peacefully, but he does have a point to where he will attack. He does not like when friends or family are threatened and will defend them. He also defends himself when talking does not seem to work.

Backround- Derrik was a historian and a teacher. He loved talking to people and enjoyed his simple life with his wife and kids. He was always a big nerd and a good man. Everything seemed normal....until he turned into a giant bear. His wife took the kids and ran when he transformed and he soon found himself an outcast. People do not like freaks, he knew this from history. He decided it best to leave civilization and hide in the forsets that dot the Northeast. It was nice and cool for him. He soon found the extent of his powers and, though he did not like his physical ones, found it essential to survive when he came across hunters. He kept to himself since. He made himself a large hut where he slept and began writing on his experiences. He only ventured into town when it was absolutely needed. When he heard of Xavier's kidnapping, he soon found himself in a situation. Does he help find the hero of his kind, or keep to himself. He is still unsure.

Force Field- Both offensive and defensive. Kristy can bring forth an impenetrable force field to guard her against attacks, and can also send out pulses to quite literally knock people off their feet. She's learned to manipulate it to move just about anything. Not quite as good as telekinesis- she can only force things, not actually use them with her mind.

Reflex memory- She sees you do it, she can do it. She can only do what she is physically capable of. Being a healthy, athletic young woman, there's not a lot that Kristy isn't physically capable of. She cannot copy powers, however.

Appearance: Cute is a good way to describe Kristy. She has a button nose, light blue eyes, and a fair complexion. Her blonde hair is shoulder length and usually styled in some way. She has a slight build, not very muscular but with little fat. She tends to wear 'sporty' clothes, and has a very proper posture and manner of speaking. Kristy just exudes youthful exuberance.



Personality: Kristy isn't that different from other girls her age. She likes music, boys, and the latest trends. She's very kind, even-tempered, and sweet, although she is occasionally prone to childish outbursts; then again, aren't we all? One thing Kristy hates is being underestimated. In spite of her young age, she is a legitimately skilled mutant, but is often written-off due to her lack of, well, age. Still, she tries to make herself as valuable as possible whenever she can.

Background: Daughter of the illustrious Whitaker family, Kristy has always had the pleasure of a wealthy old-money citizen. She's been attended by the finest tutors, known only the most in-style people, and never cavorted with anyone beneath her station. Naturally, this bored her quite a bit, so she began a bit of a rebellion. Her older sister, Helena, urged her to be more ladylike, but Kristy always felt slightly marginalized in that regard. So, when she and her sisters began to exhibit signs of mutanism, she rejoiced. Until her parents decided it would be safer to send her to a boarding school with others like her.

After spending several years being 'hidden', Kristy received a letter from Helena. She was being sent on a 'mission' of sorts, one which Helena could only entrust to someone very close to her. Along with a paid mutant guard, Kristy was to find an ally of Helena's whom she had lost contact with.

Kristy gathered her belongings and set off to find Jack Fujibashi.

Extra: She's been assigned a guard, but Kristy desperately wants to ditch her.

Multiple arms- As her name implies, Nicole can grow several extra arms in addition to her current two. Each new one grown is the same strength and length as her original two, but with her original powers...yes, she is something of a threat.

Super strength- Nicole is above-average in terms of strength, to compensate for the sheer extra weight of her added limbs. This, naturally, would make it very easy for her to break your neck.

Appearance-



Personality- Nicole is rather severe in her execution of things. She tends to be very blunt and straightforward, not cutting edges or being guileful. She wants things to get done, and she doesn't want any horseplay involved. If she has to step in and start doing things herself, that's fine, just stay away and let her handle it. Expectantly, she has very low patience or tolerance.

Backround- Nicole was a police officer before the 'big mist', and was decidedly freaked out when she learned that she could grow extra arms the day after it disappeared. Being a rather honest person, she let her mutation be known and was promptly removed from action, which basically was a step away from being fired. That actual phase didn't come much later, and Nicole was soon jobless. So, she turned to someone she had heard of- Charles Xavier. Her employed her as a guard at his school, which was a pretty decent occupation, all things considered.

Until one day, when she was pulled from her post by Helena Whitaker. Now she's babysitting a bratty fifteen year old.
