The Lost World
Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel of the same name. A band of adventurers embark on an expedition in 2010 to prove the existence of a lost world isolated from the rest of the modern world. The expedition team consisting of a mismatched group of enthusiasts, all with less than selfless reasons for making the journey begin their trip under less than ideal conditions. The aircraft transporting them is caught in a lightning storm that leaves the explorers stuck in a savage land that is inhabited by prehistoric animals and species. All modern luxuries and electronics are now useless and even if the aircraft can be salvaged, there’s no telling if they’ll be able to find a way home. In the meantime, they must learn to survive in…the lost world...

Dust fills the air. The screeching sound of an alarm slowly fades away as it sinks lower into the ocean. The sounds of groaning metal and broken glass sliding, scraping against it are everywhere.
Amongst the chaos, one tangible thought surfaces:
I'm alive...
BEGINNING:
Darkness. A dull buzzing noise slowly begins to creep into the sound field. It all happened so quickly...
Where am I? In a tunnel? It must be a tunnel because there is a faint light now at the end...just a bit closer...
Marie cracks open her eyes slowly, regaining consciousness. She is in fact, not in a tunnel as she thought, but laying chest down on very rough carpeting and debris. Something warm creeps down the side of her face and as she pulls her fingertips away, she is greeted by the sight of crimson.
The thoughts come rushing back...the thunder storm...the crash...
She shudders slightly and uses the seat next to her to haul herself up, still feeling disoriented. There are bodies thrown all over the plane and while she doesn't have the strength yet to check, she prays to God that they're not corpses...

Why is there so much pressure on my legs? She tries to move, but is pinned beneath something. She opens her eyes, slowly, and squints from the light. When her sense come to life, and see what’s before her, the simple words that describe everything right now comes from her lips.
“Fuck.”
Now she remembers. The thunder, the lightening, the roaring winds, the pounding rain and the airplane, everything is somewhat crystal clear now.
“What the fuck.” She says, rising up on her elbows, looking around seeing the bodies of her fellow passengers scattered everywhere.
“Holy, hell.” She whispers, She sees someone else is awake, a girl, and tries to move, then realizes, once again she’s pinned. She looks down at her legs, Some boy is on top of her legs, pinning her down with his body weight.
“Hey! Wake up! Get off of me!” She says, trying to wiggle out. She reaches up and shakes the boy, trying to get him to wake up.
“Hey, hey you! Over there with the short brown hair!” she says, trying to get the girls attention.
