Types of Weapons

To-Hit Roll = +1
Damage Roll = -1

To-Hit Roll = 0
Damage Roll = 0
Axe-
To-Hit Roll = -1
Damage Roll = +1
The Weapon Triangle
Swords beat Axes, Axes beat Lances, and Lances beat swords. The combatant at the disadvantage suffers -1 from to-hit and damage while the combatant at the advantage gains +1 to-hit and damage. Here’s an example:
A swordsman attacks a lance-wielding cavalier. Because of the weapon triangle his attack gets +0 to-hit and -2 damage. The cavalier is a medium armor opponent, so there are no armor modifiers applied. In response the cavalier strikes back at +1 to-hit and +1 damage, and since the swordsman is a light target, this changes to +0 to-hit and +2 damage.
To-Hit Roll
Roll a 1d6, add/subtract modifiers for weapon and enemy’s armor.
