Okay so I tried starting this on the-n and the stupid butt heads took it down for "personal info". The-n is really starting to just suck. Anyway, thank you so much for starting this site where we can actually post good rpgs.

The Winter Enchantment
The night was fresh and a soft breeze chilled the air, but it was not stiff, it stirred things. The winter air flooded the streets of Emberly and cast the moons light around the whole of the town and out to the countryside. It was a most beautiful night. Everything seemed peaceful and the world was quiet in its simplicity. That is until you step through the door to the Vanderburgh Manor, then you would find intense clamor. It was not a disturbance but a celebration. It was to be a joyous night. Filled with laughter and friends, perhaps lovers, and of course dancing. At least that was what the night was meant for.
But we must go back, back before this wonder-filled night and rest upon early November. When the air was not quite as cooled and the colours of the world were warm and although nature was beginning to die it had the hope for a new year that burned brightly. This November was special from past years because on Christmas Eve there was to be a great Ball. Everyone in the town of Emberly was to be invited, those in the outskirts and in the poorer villages, although not invited, were hired to help prepare and to serve the night of the big bash and paid for it. It was a celebration put on by the three richest families in town, The Byron’s, The Holloway’s, and The Vanderburgh’s. The Ball was to be held at The Vanderburgh’s because their Ballroom happened to be the largest and most impressive of the three.
The reason for this extravagant event was because there was to be not one engagement but many. The three families wanted the money to stay within the families and to make sure that happened they set up engagements for all of their children practically at birth. But the parent’s did not want to have to deal with a large amount of uproar from their children so they choose to tell them this November, a month before the festivities were to take place. The engagements were to be announced this Christmas Eve to the rest of Emberly and the Weddings to be held New Year’s Eve. As you might have expected the children of the three families were not particularly happy with this news.
The Characters
Vanderburgh’s
Elijah [Male]; Elijah is Ezekiel’s twin brother and is engaged to Amelia though he is smitten with her sister Grace.
Ezekiel [Male]; Ezekiel is Elijah’s twin brother and is engaged to Grace though is smitten with her sister Amelia. This often can create a feud between brothers.
Ella [Female]; Ella is engaged to Richard but is torn because she kind of likes Ashley. She is quite fickle and naive and can’t decide what she wants. Ella is one of the younger girls of the three families.
Byron’s
Amelia [Female]; Amelia is engaged to Elijah but knows he likes her sister. Which upsets her because she does like Elijah.
Irene [Female]; Irene is engaged to Ashley and can’t stand his arrogance though likes no one else.
Grace [Female]; Grace is engaged to Ezekiel but likes Joseph who is not even in the three families. The appeal for Joseph is exactly because he is not apart of the three families and she wants to rebel. Which might possibly be the only reason she likes Joseph. [You decide.]
Richard [Male]; Richard is engaged to Ella and finds her young and annoying. He prefers Charlotte who is much more mature than Ella. You could say Richard is the charming older gentleman, at least older than everyone else.
Holloway’s
Ashley [Male]; Ashley is engaged to Irene and can’t stand her vanity though likes no one else. They are slightly alike and see themselves in each other. But there is still room for love if need be.
Samuel [Male]; Samuel is not engaged to anyone [whoever plays him will have to come up with the reason…most obviously there are no other girls left] and he is quite upset about this. While everyone is complaining about being paired with someone they don’t like he doesn’t even have anyone to complain about! Even though Abigail has a crush on him at first he is too blind to realize because he is so busy complaining.
Charlotte [Female]; Charlotte is not engaged to anyone and likes it that way. Though she has showed some interest in Richard she is inclined to play games from time to time.
Others
If you have an idea for a different character ask me and I may or may not approve it.
Joseph [Male]; He was one of the peasants hired to work to prepare and during the Ball. He has fallen for Ella though she does not notice him for he is a mere peasant and Ella has two other men on her mind. But that doesn't stop Joseph from trying to 'woo' her.
Abigail [Female]; She has also been hired to work for the three families and is Joseph's best friend and neighbor. They are not romantically involved they are practically like brother and sister. Abigail has a crush on Samuel.

The Rules
1. I think most of this is obvious and I don't have to say much, especially not about grammar and spelling. I know you guys can handle all of that.
2. No extreme god-modding. I know personally I hate when someone makes my character do something I did not want them to do. Small little things are fine. Any clarrifying questions ask me.
3. Post at least 4 or 5 sentences. I don't think that is asking too much and I'm sure you all will be able to post much more.
4. As always, have fun because that's what it's all about.
