The Plains of Orin hold an asortment of animals. Some graze the abundant grass stretching for as far as the eye can see and further. Others hunt the grass grazers, showing Nature's fury with claws and teeth. However there is something else calling the plains home. The civilized people call them Barbarians, Savages, Wild people, and Uncivilized. They call themselves Nomads. They learn from the lands and the animals on them. They fight with the strength of a bear, and with the speed of a deer. They work together like lions going in for the kill, and have an accuracy of a hawk diving in for the kill. They are wise like owls, and smart like a wolf. Some even tap into the very land itself and draw forth the very power of mother nature. The nomads live a life of tradition, honor, and war. They live on the move and live off the land. They are raised to be strong warriors unafraid of death for they will go to the sky and live forever in the plains of the heavens.
However, in the City of Treygon, The High Mage and councelor of the King himself has started an expansion into the wild lands. There is something in the plains that he wants. It is something that the land has hidden for longer than histroy can recount. His expansion has run afowl of the Nomads and now It is war! Your land has been invaded, your own people treated worse than the animals they slaughter. It is time to stand up. It is time to show just why they call the plains, the woods, the mountians, anything untouched by civilization, wild lands. It is time to unleash your fury and destroy these intruders!
Here is the basic story line for this rp. You are a nomad. You have lived your life on the plains. Your lands have been invaded by armored men who have began to destroy the lands. They slaughter any animal they come near and not just for food. They do it because they are in their way. You have also heard a report of a small tribe falling to them and not even the children have survived. These invaders are not welcome. It displeases the Great Spirits to watch their land being destroyed. Now the question is, who are you? Are you the ones legends fortold? Are you here to stop this invasion and make these unhonorable walking chamberpots be taken by the very earth they defile?
Classes
Barbarian- These men and women are walking death machines ready for a fight. They are the warriors and the ones who take down the biggest prey. They defend their people without hesitation and even death is afriad to touch them. They perfer to wear no armor, infact, they perfer to wear only what makes them decent. They weild large axes and swords. Women tend to deul weild lighter swords and axes. They worship the Great Animal Spirits that symbolize strength like the Bear, the Lion, the Gorilla, or the alligator. They are not the brightest, or the quickest, but they are by far the strongest. They can even throw themselves into a wild rage that blocks out all pain. If a barbarian is in rage, the only way to stop them is to kill them in one blow, or they will kill you.
Hunter- Hunters know how to stalk their prey and when they make a sound, it is already too late. They gather the meat needed for the tribes and also are archer units for battles. They tend to wear leathers of prey they have killed, but also tend to wear camoflauge to hide in plain sight. They train with the bow, and prefer to be in long range situations. They worship the spirits of the lepord, the hawk, the wolf, and other animals that are great and efficent hunters. They are the quickest but they lack the strength that the barbarians have. They like to work with others to get the best advantage. They have an ability that is unique to Hunters. They are so used to hunting that they have a 6th sense when it comes to firing a bow. They can somehow feel the pulse of their prey and fire with almost unnatural accuracy.
Shaman- Shamans are the bridge between the spirits of the land and the mortal world. They are spritual leaders that commune with the spirits for wisdom and guidance for their tribes. With a fire and several diffrent roots, they can call apon spirits for the tribes to see. They can even call on the very land for help. They can create gusts of wind and make fires bigger. However their greatest asset is calling one the very spirits of the land to fight for them. They wear simple cloth clothing and it rangest from conservitive to only being decent. They worship all spirits and call on any for blessings. They also are doctors and herbal healers. They are not fast, not strong in the least, however they are the wisest.
Rules
Rules are obvious. However I am capping the shaman class to two. I want barbarains and hunters mainly. THis will keep the rp balanced and interesting since there is a cap on the magic class. If I see too many hunters, I am going to have to cap that class too. I want to see some barbarians since they are the most likely to fight the invaders.
Also this is not your typical high fantasy role playing. This one is going to get down right descriptive. I want this to show a side not typically seen in rps. I want The N would shit a chicken over this.
