When the storm draws nigh
Dreams will shatter before your eyes
Know that you're not alone
When the battle starts
I will comfort your restless heart
You'll know that you are home- Princess Maye d’Guille in her Wedding Vows to Prince Algalon[/b]
It has been 56 years since the Scarlet Moon Treaty was formed, binding the two great Kingdoms of Ransept and Guille. Together, under the leadership of Prince Algalon of Ransept and Princess Maye of Guille did this kingdom prosper, and many thought that peace would last everlong. For nearly 6 decades, and two generations has this Empire lasted, and for 600 more should it.
Like all great Tragedies, we all must die as heroes less we live long enough to see ourselves become villains. But what of those who began their stories draped in the shadows of the former kingdoms. Those who were cast aside for the benefit of many, they know too harsh the cost of peace. But it is through their silence that this story is told. It is through their sightless eyes would events unfold.
Princess Maiev, daughter of Maye and Algalon, was set to marry Count Lerosso of Guille. She was someone of equal class to Maye D’Guille, but outside of the royal blood line. The only way that the peace would be preserved would be with alternating bloodline roles in each kingdom mandated by the first Emperor and Empress.
Lost in darkest blue
Endless labyrinths weaving though
Will you stagger on,
with no star to light your way?
Share with me your tears
All your troubles and deepest fears
I remember when
you chased all my shadows away- Dying words of Emperor Algalon to Empress Maye[/b]
We were the blades of peace, a peace obtained at any and all costs. Sacrifices for the Greater Good
My heart underneath
cries quietly
this part of me
I choose not to see.
What lives must I take
for fealty's sake?
How much blood must stain
this warrior's blade?—Words Written by the Scarlet Moon Empire’s Grand General Alextraza Rose[/b]
There are no great wars, no times of internal turmoil and strife. We are at peace, we are at peace with our once hated enemy and united in an Empire of Eternal Love. Alas, our heart doth break. If history is written by those who remain victorious, what of the loser’s tale? Who speaks for the voiceless, who fights for the beaten? Memories you see…cut deeper than any Knight’s Blade. Leaving scars which cannot truly be healed.
