The Bridge System:
(the not-so-complicated-version)
This is a solution me and the gang decided to try out, and frankly I think it's a far better and smarter alternative then getting rid of the chatbox, crossing our fingers, and hoping people post. I call it the Bridge system, because it's kinda based on how scoring is handled in a game of Bridge.
The basic premise of the system is this: let each writer create what their posting schedule a week will be, and then hold them to it. Here's a sample schedule for me:
=======
ACE:
Holy Blood: 1 Mario RP: 1 Pokemon RP: 1
Week 1: Objectives Met.
Week 2:
=======
Keep in mind that this should be thought of as a bare minimum. While three posts a week may not seem like a lot, it's certainly more than none and keep in mind (when you create your schedule) that school is starting soon. Everyone will be required to have a schedule (we'll make a thread for it, don't worry) and then mark it off 'Objectives Met' or whatever for when they've finished their 'required' posting for the week. (if you're thinking of trying anything underhanded and we suspect something, we'll just check your posting history)
Of course you can post more if you want! You just can't post less. If you're going on vacation for a week then that's understandable, and if you have any particular scenario-based questions chances are the powers that be will handle them on a case-by-case basis.
Penalties range from a bunch of things, banning from the chatbox is one such example. And if you aren't currently in any RPs and aren't willing to join, then RSGs will work as well. So long as you are doing something. And if you aren't doing anything, then WEE don't exactly need you here, now do WEE?
