Nintendo. For years, they have brought us memorable and utterly paramount characters and games that have shaped the way we’ve all been entertained. From Link and the Zelda series to that spry little ball of fun that is Kirby, we have all been touched in one way or another by these characters and they have a special place in our hearts.
Well, imagine that all of these characters lived. They inhabited a world of their won and coexisted, not unlike we all do on a daily basis. Well, that’s the basis for this RPG. The Kingdom of Nintendo is a diverse land, from the plains of Hyrule to the jungles where the Kong Family resides. Environments and people from all over the Nintendo universe are represented in this grand kingdom.
Of course, like any kingdom, there is a hierarchy and who better to serve as king to these people than the one and only plumber himself. Mario and Peach are the King and Queen of the land and they live in Toadstool Castle, a magnificent and immaculate palace where they govern from. In general, this is a peaceful place but there is one problem. Mario has been changing lately. He hasn’t been himself at all. He’s been more ruthless in his rule, recently ordering his Toad Army to lay waste to an entire Pikmin village for seemingly no reason and then he dismissed his brother as the Captain of that army when he refused to lead that attack. Since then, he appointed Bowser, of all people, to that post. That marks the first time that a known villain has held any kind of post in Nintendo’s army. Everyone is afraid, not knowing what Bowser or even what Mario will do. There are rumors that the Toad Army is on its way to Hyrule to attack the Zora’s for obeying King Zora over Mario. Of course, that’s only a rumor, but the troops were seen diving into Lake Hylia, dressed in hammer suits. Also, and probably most disturbingly, they have enslaved Yoshi’s, forcing them to run in circles to power the castle’s new flight abilities, allowing the palace to float high above the ground. It is now almost impossible to get to.
But, a resistance has begun. Luigi, freshly ousted from his position is leading a revolt against his brother and his old foe. He’s looking for warriors from all over the Kingdom to help in this effort and restore the goodness and peace in the land. Luigi will be in his mansion, the one place he knows is safe from the ears of Mario. This resistance needs all the help it can get. People will come from all over the land and who knows when Mario will strike next. So hurry!!!
