Our lives are formed by the choices we make. Whether it is selfless or selfish, good or bad, by the law or against it, our choices have shaped the galaxy for thousands of years.

The year is 3542, 1530 years after the Humans have made first contact with another race. What Humans first thought was an attack that would destroy the planet, they soon realized that the aliens were only there to start a trading post and even helped create a new energy source. After 10 years with these aliens, Humans quickly developed a brand new space program and their technology jumped by leaps and bounds. It was not long before Humans began to trade with other races and a small solar system in the tail of the galaxy became a hot spot for trade. 1000 years passed and Humans were now a super power in the galaxy. With their quick minds and quickly advancing weaponry, they were able to form alliances from all over the galaxy. There are two other Super powers in the galaxy.
There are the Garcons, an industrial people from the planet Garcon.

These people are a people of Honor and stubbornness. They are a proud people who live in industrialized fortresses. They build the latest tech and were the first to install cybernetics into a living organism. This enhances speed and strength as well as installs weapons on their very being. Where they are from means everything to them and even the Garcons who venture the galaxy talk about Garcon and its colonies as if it were heaven. In truth Garcon is one giant factory that produces all the top of the line tech like ships, cruisers, mechs, and so much more. Before they are considered an adult, a Garcon must build something by themselves.
They stand from 6 foot to 8 foot and their sizes vary. However, they are a strong people and it is rare to find a fat Garcon. They range from gray to bronze in skin color and their skin is tough. They have dark color eyes. They do not have much color to their clothes.

The other Super power is the Fellidorians from the Planet Fellidor.

These people believe more on expressing one's self than on honor and family. They are a hauntingly beautiful people that live in a woodland planet. They use the mind to a level that they can move even people with a concentrated thought. They can also produce barriers. They are artists and musicians, but they can be powerful biotic warriors that can move faster and hit harder than one could shoot a gun. However they also have surprisingly beautiful tech weapons. Though they are not as advanced as the Garcons, they are able to defend themselves at a great level with biotic mechs. They have vibrant skin colors that can match the colors on a rainbow. Their eyes are just as colorful. Their clothes seem to be the top fashion in the galaxy and some have been known to be more....liberal....in their dress code. They stand 5 to 6 foot in height and they are usually a slender people.

Humans have been able to use both biotics and cybernetics. however they are not as advanced in either as the other races. Humans are the most adaptable race and quick to learn about new tech and make it their own.

The plot is this. The Garcons and Fellidorians are almost at war. They have both been attacked and blame each other for the border colonies that have been taken out. They are on the Planet Valmire, the Capital Planet in the First major system in the galaxy. The Humans have tried everything to maintain peace so that trade can continue. The Earth Federation could not supply troops for a research mission due to their own problems of rebellions that have spread across the galaxy. The Ambassador of Earth decided on sending a small group of what soldiers he had, plus mercs, common adventurers, and anyone else who wanted to investigate the attacks on the Colonies.

Now one question remains. Who are you?

Rules and Bios

You know the basic rules of the Rp world. However There are a few unique rules to the Rp.

First off, I am putting a limit on both cybernetics and biotic powers.

Cybernetics- If you master Cybernetics can have improved physical abilities and highly improved senses. You can also hack computers and mainframes a lot easier. You can have improved defenses. However you can not take hits forever. Stronger guns can rip through defenses. Also you there is a limit to what you can lift and how fast you can move. You can not match the strength of a mech or move as fast as one. You are also weak to E.M.P. bursts. Also keep in mind that You need to be more your race than machine and there is a purpose for that later.

Biotics- If you choose Biotics, then you are faster than any cybernetic but you lack the physical strength. You also have improved senses but not eyes that can see infrared or anything like that. You do not hack mainframes but you can "hack" the mind. In doing so you face certain restrictions. anyone with cybernetics and has a computer in their brains are immune. Other biotics can fight you. You can throw up barriers but they can not handle too much abuse, else they shatter and bigger guns shred through them. You can move things with your mind however there are restrictions. You can not move anything bigger than 12 feet and 1000 pounds. basically the biggest things you can move are the bigger races that come along. You are weak to something called waves. It is a blast of telekentic energy that causes headaches. For Biotics, it is extremely painful.

If you choose both Cybernetics and biotics, then you have the gifts of hacking and mind "hacking". You can choose how they play a part and they help balance out waves and E.M.P's however you can not move as much with telekenetics or have stronger implants. You also face a special problem. The cybernetics can "cross wire" with the brain which causes unstable surges with biotics. You can only have three implants to insure you do not become a time bomb.

Race- Dro'an

Description-
The Dro'an are an swamp people who stand roughly around 5 to 6 feet in height. Their skin is ranges from browns to greens and they look almost amphibious. They have completely black eyes. They have a hidden scent to them that most races can not detect but other Dro'an. Their clothes tend to be more earth tones than vibrant. Men are noticeably taller and thicker than women. They have webbed hands and feet, but they can retract them at will.

Race specialization-Biotics

History-The Dro'an are from the planet Doro, a rather large and swampy planet that is home to many dangerous animals. They live in small communities that dot the planet both above and below water. They formed several major cities for trade and are accessible by water. They first were discovered by the Fellidorians. Who helped advance their technology but soon found they had a great affinity for biotics. around 1946 on Earth, The Dro'an had soon began exploring the galaxy. Their military was soon advanced enough for them to defend themselves, but that was about it. The Dro'an do a lot of trade with their under water discoveries. Their biggest export is a precious metal known as Gromire, a green colored metal formed on the beds of their home world. It is a very tough and light weight metal that glimmers in the sun light. Construction workers love them and thus they became trade partners with the Garcons. When the humans visited Doro, they were so fascinated by the life their, that they soon developed a serious research center that worked with the Dor'an. It was not long before the Humans had managed to get an alliance out of the Dor'ans and the military was developed even more to help with keeping the peace in the galaxy. Now they are a solid race in both the galaxy and in the Galactic Council. They are not the strongest, but tend to be respected at least when they speak.

Culture- They are a people who love their history. They honor their ancestors by keeping alive traditions that span nearly 10,000 years. Each child is taught their history and by the time they are an adult (45 in human years) They have memorized it. They follow the same customs and live by the same principles. However they are not scared in learning new things. Whoever has the gift of becoming a biotic, they are revered and honored. They believe Biotics are a gift from the Maker and those who wield it, try to master it. They try to live as one with the land. What they take, they try to replenish. Even the vast amounts of Gromire they export, they try to make sure it is being replenished. Even their cities seem to take one with the environment. They try to maintain a certain peace with everyone and if force is needed, they do not do it because they want to. They live with honor and it is instilled in them. To make a point of Dro'an honor, they send out all who wish to become an adult into the galaxy. Their mission is to find just what honor is to them and have to come back with proof that they have helped the Dro'an or the galaxy in one way or form. Many do not come back, but those who do earn the status of an adult in Dro'an society.

Other-Those who use biotics tend to use their powers as a spiritual aspect. They meditate while using them and incorporate them as a martial art form. Though they use weapons and tend to be excellent snipers, they measure themselves by their mastery of Biotics. They call themselves the Dro'anma and many have been known to fight a number of people without weapons and armor.
Also If a Dro'an's Honor is ever questioned, then the accuser must face the Dro'an in a duel. These Duels are known as Sheki or Honor Fights. If the accuser wins, then the Dro'an is without any honor and thus no longer a part of Dro'an society unless he can restore it. If he wins, then the accuser was wrong and faces the same fate.

Description-

Personality-Doltian is a naive young man that believes there is still good in the galaxy. He is enthusiastic and always tries to be in a good mood. As with most Dro'an, His honor is priceless and will not try anything under handed. He always wants to help, and when he can't he tries to find a way. He is not the wisest but when it comes to quick thinking...which is most of his strategies....He is rather good. His biotic abilities make him meditate often and do Dro'an Tornma or a sort of martial arts kata. He is a Dro'anma, a title he takes very seriously. He is a very unusual man. On minute he is a very happy extrovert who loves the simple things in life, another minute, he is a very calm and serious individual who is slowly mastering is biotic gifts. It depends on if he is training or simply looking at the starry vastness of space. However one thing is constant. There is right and there is wrong. He will not lose his honor in doing wrong.

History- Doltian was born into a middle class Dro'an family that worked hard to establish a decent living on Doro. Doltian went to school just like every other child and earned his grades just like everyone else. When he was twenty, he and a friend were out swimming the swamp lands near his home town and they were attacked by Drask, or a Giant water serpent. It was then that Doltian's Biotic abilities woke up in him. He did not kill the Drask, but with a telekentic push, he launched both him and his friend safely out of the water and back on land. From there Doltian was sent to a biotic secondary school where he learned to harness and control his Biotic energy. He learned Dro'an fighting styles and tactics. It was basically a Biotic boot camp. Now he is 45. This is the age where all Dro'an are considered adults in there 300 year life cycle. He was sent off Dro'an as a Dro'anma or biotic warrior on a journey to do something of worth in the eyes of the Dro'an. When he heard the news of people willing to investigate destroyed colonies of the Fellidorians and the Garcons, he figured this was his best shot to do something useful.

Weapons- He uses a Mark 5 sniper rifle that his father taught him to hunt with. He is also well versed in the ways of using his biotics for offense and defence. He carries a pistol just in case. He does not wear armor unless he has to and even then it is a very light armor but with reasonable shields.

Extra-With his outgoing personality, Doltian tends to be the first into the frey. He keeps a watchful eye over his partners and makes sure they are safe. His skills with a hunting sniper rifle have transfered to his pistol. Basically he has really good aim.

Race- Znaelia

Description-

The Znaelia are a rather... forgettable species. They're not very remarkable. Their height ranges from 4 to 5 feet and, compared to a human, almost deadly thin. They all look very much the same, with dark green skin, green eyes, and a pair of thighs, each of which divides into two calves: Znaelia have four feet. They have three opposable fingers at the end of each hand that end in skinny claws that're rock-solid. They have endoskeletons in their bodies, save for the top of their head (including the part with the horns). Also, as opposed to expectations, their skin is actually a pretty soft membrane. They also don't live very long: 50 years is their average.

Race specialization-Cybernetic; barely. The Fellidorians saw bionic potential in them, but NONE of them have ever developed so much as a hint of it.

History- Interstellar historians have a little bit of a problem when labeling the Earthling year when the Znaelia along with their planet, Abagar 8. See, these guys actually found out there were other super-smart lifeforms out there in space in the year 3427, but they never actually thought about contacting them. The thought just never crossed their minds. They did watch carefully as sixty years of technological advances took place around their galaxy, which is when a group of Garcon explorers found their planet, year 3491. So you can see the historians' dilemma: discovery = year Znaelia found extraterrestrial lifeforms OR year Garcons found Znaelia?
Anyway, even after the Garcons spread the news of the Znaelia, it took about 10 years for them to travel to other planets. Sure, they'd already mastered some parts of it, but they saw no point in going outside their native environment. Some have now overcome that... irrational feeling, however, and they've become a race of mechanics throughout space (though, admittedly, not very good ones).
As a relatively new planet, several species have attempted to explore Abagar 8. Most, if not all, have left without so much as satisfaction. The planet has a rocky surface, mostly underdeveloped fungus-like and animal-like species and not much of else. Their minerals are fairly common. Perhaps the most shocking discovery anyone made in the planet was a new addition to Earth's old periodic table of the elements: element #112, Shassium, a radioactive gas unable to solidify or condensate. Eager scientists are searching for ways to apply the gas, but most of them have been unlucky thus far.
The Humans and Fellidorians have been particularly kind to the Znaelia, and have helped their technology advace (though its not like the Znaelia helped or supported these efforts, they just went with the flow) remarkably, though they still live by standards the Garcons would consider primitive. They have their fair share of weapons and defense mechanisms, but nothing super sophisticated. After all, Abagar 8 and its inhabitants have still to prove themselves a valuable addition to the Intergalactic Council. Chances are a conqueror would waste more resources keeping the planet as a colony than it would get. The true strength of the Znaelia is, probably, their number. They're, like, a lot. A LOT. And they're fast-learners if you manage to get their attention. Good luck with that. You'd need it.

Culture- Although the Znaelias' appearance might seem . . . striking, what makes them a forgettable species is the fact that, once you've met one of them, you might as well have met all of them. For non-Abagar 8 natives, the differences between every Znaelia are almost imperceptible (mainly because, physically, they all look the exact same, save for the babies). Even among themselves, they tend to confuse people all the time - which is why mirrors are banned in their home planet, they caused CHAOS.
The origin of the Znaelia are an important part of their culture. You know how it takes only one prokaryote to reproduce (binary fission)? And how it takes TWO humans to reproduce? Yes, well, these guys need three of their species to reproduce. But here's the catch: Znaelia are sexless, no reproductive organs, no testosterone, no estrogen. It's complicated. They differentiate each other via the way their personality feels and are divided into three genders (he, she and - for the sake of language - it). Once in a lifetime three Znaelia must get together, one of each personality-gender, and go to the broadest mountain on the planet. Scientists are not too sure of what happens then, which processes are involved, but twelve days later nine Znaelia babies, three for each gender, dig themselves out of the mountain and are welcomed into society. On the other hand, the 'parents' become sterile after this event. And the mountain isn't even a sacred place or something, it's an actual requirement, the babies won't sprout and the parents won't go sterile if the strange mating doesn't happen in that exact mountain. This has all baffled the other species.
After the babies dig themselves out (not necessarily close to each other either) they're taken care of by the Znaelia society, but, seeing as how blood-families don't exist in the planet per sé, they'll eventually recluse to a freely-chosen family with those acquaintances the now-youngling trusts the most. Like clans of some sort, except all the clans live together in harmony. Again though, an outsider wouldn't be able to determine if Znaelia A is 'clan' to Znaelia B or if they're just members of the same society. It's because they all act the same, look the same, and almost thing the same things. At first it's intriguing, but it gets very tedious very soon. Which is also why so few non-Znaelia have managed to live successfully in the planet.
