Ghost Corps. (( futuristic Mech Rp ))

It was the massicure that started a war. Colony 92 was destroyed by Earth Forces because they stood up to the rule of the Government. They wanted freedom from Earth, they were given Freedom from living. Men, Women, Children, all were civilians without any gaurds to protect them. Because of that day, the skies of Earth filled the with Mechs and the War had started.
After 15 years, Earth and the United Space Federation have entered a stand still. Tensions are at a boiling point as diplomats fail to resolve the matter. The USF has caught wind of a Earth Base trying to start the war anew. In order to prevent another Colony 92, they Created the Ghost Corps. It is a small crew with the best of the best. Their ship is the Night Hawk under the command of Admeral Versa Corsora. They were given the Best Mechs. The Prototypes known as the Mark units. Their Pilots come from diffrent backrounds and diffrent parts of the Colonies, but their mission is the same. They follow a Code. They are the first into battle and the last to leave. They are the First and last line of Defence for the colonies. Welcome to the Ghost Corps.

Mark units
Mark 1-3- these Mechs are The Tank Mechs. They are slower than the rest but make up for it with a massive defence and heavy offence. What makes them Diffrent than other Tank Mechs is the ability to target up to 30 foes and obliterate them with a deadly acurate spray of missiles. Their armor can even stop a pulse sword. and they carry one of their own, only wider and longer.

Mark 4-6- These mechs are designed for sniping. They mastered the sniper rifle to a degree that they can snipe a penny from a mile out. They are designed for speed and speed alone. They are not as effective in close range, but they are usually fast enough to get out of the way and retreat. They carry short Pulse swords, but they are deadly with them.

Mark 7-9- This is mech is disigned after normal mechs but they look more human. They move with a speed and grace, but hit with power. They are not as strong or fast as the other two models, but they are more versitile. They carry assault rifles and shoot with good accuracy. The carry normal Pulse Swords.

Personalty- The one word to describe Dorian, Interesting. He is the guy who speaks before the thought crosses his head and loves a good challange. He has a good heart and follows it regardless of common sense. He is reckless but not totally stupid. He knows what the smart thing to do is, but it is wether or not he will follow it. He does not get angry easily, but Colony is a touchy subject for him. Maybe it was because he was one of the few that survived it. He is a great actor and hides the pain when needed, but there are some who made bad comments about it and Dorian made them regret it. It is the one thing he does not talk openly about even though he dealt with it a long time ago. He would much rather dodge the issue and be happy. He tends to be the one that is upfront and enjoys being very random.

History- Dorian lived a normal life of disobeying parents and getting into minor trouble. He loved his life. Then the Incedent of Colony 92 happened. Dorian watched as everything he knew was shot to peices. The only reason he survived was the fact he disobeyed his mother like normal and went into the sublevels. Just as he was going to emerge from the sublevel, he watched as everyone was being shot at. He kept low and was suprisingly missed. He got a good look at the general's face before they left. He was rescued soon after by Colonial forces. He spent much of his Teenage years acting out and doing stupid things. However, there was always someone at his side growing up in Colony 43 and he soon let go of his pain and grew happy again. He still did stupid things but he had no fear. When he turned 18, he joined the USF armed forces and became a master in heavy mechs. There was something about shooting something 100 times that made him feel good. Dispite his recklessness, Dorian was a great soldier and soon began learning mechanics and electrical equipment. Now he is in the Night Hawk. The Mark 1 he calls OverKill was his. He built it up to be highly offencive but with a great amount of defence. His philosiphy, If they hit you once, Hit them 1000 times more and see if they want to do it again. It has worked so far.

Skills- He knows almost everything about heavy weapons and what to use in what situation. He also knows a great deal about mechanics so he spends a lot of time fixing the mechs up and doing what he can to make them better.

His Mech is known as Sleipnir, and the Pulse Sword is curved, almost Wakizashi like. (Rather than just a straight sword)

Personalty- Clive is a man, who was liked by his class at the Academy, which in turn led to his eventual promotion into the Mech Pilot Program. It's his free-wheeling and carefree attitude which often wins him most of what he aims for. He adamantly believes that if one reacts in kindness to an individual, they will in turn act kind back. He tries to avoid most forms of conflict, and often times people question his place in the Ghost Corps. Of which he just smiles, and passes the buck onto Blind-Luck.

History- Clive Olivis-Kinnea was born on Earth, surprisingly, and was adopted at a young age. Although not much was revealed to the young boy, he accepted the fact that whatever caused his parents to abandon him, he never held against them. He knew it was best, for all individuals, and he respected and loved his adopted parents. Upon the age of 16 he enrolled in the Intergalactic Military Academy, where he excelled in most forms of hand-to-hand combat, as well as xenolinguistics. However, he was most known for his skill with his tongue, as well as his trigger finger.
Clive was able to beat 20+ Year Veteran Soldiers in Marksmanship after his 2nd year in the Academy, so it was no doubt he would be trained to eventually pilot a Sniper-Class Mark 6 Mech. Which he accepted, and pursued. Upon his 20th Birthday he Made Captain, and in less than a year, he reached First Class Captain. He joined the Ghost Corps of his own free will, and fully aware that it would be against his parents wishes, they did in fact teach him to follow his own path, regardless of the one laid before you.

Skills- Xenolinguistics--Clive can speak most languages spoken in the Common Tongues of Man, and most humanoid languages.
Hakido-Judo Advancements-- Clive is fully capable of both defending himself inside and outside of the Mech. His reflexes from training in Hakido and Judo have almost transferred over to his mech piloting capabilities.

::Primary Skill--Sharpshooting----Clive has out-shot most, if not all potential candidates from the Military Academy when it came to Sharpshooting with Rifles, as well as Mech Sniper Cannons.

Personalty- Vanessa is a cool-headed but ultimately affectionate individual. Years of dealing with brash men and foolish newbies have left her somewhat jaded and cynical, and she is often put in the position of reprimanding those who act out. She is highly skeptical towards people who take leadership positions, believing that they are often in over their heads. She can be quite demanding, and if you can't live up to her demands, then she is quick to point you to the door.

History-Vanessa is from Earth, and was raised there for most of her young life. Her parents were pilots, and it was only natural that Vanessa and her siblings(a sister and three brothers) were to follow in their footsteps. Vanessa rose through the ranks rather quickly, and was eventually sent on a recon mission through the Colonies.

It's unknown what happened, but Vanessa joined the USF for her own reasons shortly after her assignment. She refuses to speak about what happened, although she does say that it "Is not as dramatic as you probably think".

She has received a great deal of flak and suspicion because of this, and for the fact that she entirely unapologetic about her heritage. She is also entirely unsympathetic to the incident of Colony 92, although she does sympathize with the plight of the current colonies. Her attitude has caused a bit of friction, which is already strong due to her homeland pride.

Skills- She's an astounding tactician, due to her ability to expertly read others and predict their movements. It's more of a practice than a skill, though, and Vanessa maintains that it's something anyone who puts an effort into can learn. She also spends plenty of time in gun ranges, trying to learn how to defend herself without her mech. Beyond this, she is only a decent pilot at best, relying on tactics rather than piloting to win battles.

Denico's mech is more like an suit that she wears over her own body, giving her more speed than some other mechs. Her plasma swords are a lot smaller than other humanoid-mechs, and she has two of them.

Personalty- Denico is a quiet and reserved person, who speaks little and keeps to herself. Very soft-spoken, many others see her to be a pushover, and she can be easily swayed into doing other peoples dirtywork. She doesn't seem to mind too much, since she enjoys seeing a job well done.
However, in battle, she becomes such a completely different person that some have said that she has split-personality syndrome. She sees war as a game, and finds dangerous situations very hard to take seriously. She cracks jokes, talks to anyone, and generally becomes more outgoing and fun the more dangerous a situation becomes. She doesn't follow rules, and can sometimes put other Ghost Corp members in danger. The only reason she's allowed to stay in the group is because of her proess in battle, and the fact that more often than not she does actually do stuff right. She'll never get any promotions though.

History- Denico has been in the USF for as long as she can remember, though till she was sixteen and able to train she didn't have any significant roles and was confined to the cabin she shared with an officer. Said officer saved her life when she was only six years old, having been caught in the crossfire between Colony 92 and some earth forces. For some unknown reason, the officer took her back to his ship and began to bring her back to health. It is a running joke between her and the officer, whose name is Derek Stone, that he "Repaired" her, since she was so beat up that a lot of her body had to be replaced with machinery, such as her arms and eyes. A large mech helmet is on her head, which helps keep her skull together; If it was to be taken off, she would surely die.
She never knew why Derek chose to save her life that day on earth, but she was forever grateful and vowed to pay Derek back someday. She was so devoted that she trained to be a soldier, and became liable to join the Ghost Corps, so that she could follow Derek to the Night Hawk so that she could continue to repay him.

Skills- Having to make sure that her own mechanical componants were in running order all the time, Denico has become a most accomplished mechanic, making repairs on other mechs and the Night Hawk herself when needed to. She is also a pertty good healer, and is more than able to keep you alive till you can get to an official doctor.

Other- Derek Stone is a high-ranking officer on the Night Hawk, but is not a member of the Ghost Corps. Denico sees him as a farther-figure, and is quick to defend him against anyone. She also has to do a check of her mechanical parts every six months.

Personalty- Soren's intentions are unknown, really. He is known to be patriotic, being very fond of his colony, which aided in his decision to fight against Earth. But his true motives, his guiding lights, are not known. There is some sort of mystery aura surrounding this man. Aside from that, however, he is open to his companions, happy to be able to make a difference. He is one to obey orders, usually, but he does have that risky 'take-my-own-decisions' times (one of the reasons why he has not been able to ascend to a higher rank so far). While he doesn't love the thrill of battle, it is obvious that he is fighting for more than just the colonies. The guiding light shrouded in mystery.

History- His life has been rather monotonous. He grew up in Colony 12, one of those close to the asteroid belt. In his youth, he spent a good deal of his free time staring up at the floating rocks, whenever they were visible. There was a certain feeling of calmness that washed over him when watching them. But in the end, it was a very common life for him.
By age 15 he enrolled in the closest Institute of Space Studies and Investigations campus, driven partially by the massacre of Colony 92. From there he took different options and decisions that finally led him to join the USF. Making use of his underlying people skills, he got to join the crew of the Night Hawk. In all honesty, Soren wasn't planning on piloting one of the Mark prototypes. He had proven himself loyal to the USF, apt enough to be in the Night Hawk and talented enough to ride one of the Marks; he was the last of the nine to be selected due to his lack of volunteering in the first place. He though 'Well, why not?' and joined upon selection.

Skills- Information: Although he may not act, or look, like it, Soren has some extent of people skills. He uses these as an advantage to gather and keep acquaintances throughout the colonies. Because of the diversity of them, these people become his information sources. Knowing Soren to be allied in some way with the USF, and desperate to gain freedom from Earth, they report to him whenever they see or know of something strange going on. It isn't the most reliable of methods, but it has helped foil several of Earth's plans.
He's also mighty good at finding his way through computer data. Crypted files, decodification, that sort of stuff. He does not reach the level of a good hacker, however.

Name- Sir Matthieu Avelin
Rank- Entitled Owner of Avelin Dynamics, the largest weapons conglomerate in the world

Appearance-

Personalty- A gentleman who is able to hide his ambitions through the actions of a seemingly lighthearted fellow. Matthieu never raises his voice nor does he bother to whisper. Much of his charisma stems from the tone in which he uses his words: polite but unquestionably sound. He conveys an aura of affability that’s just far too rare among the Earthen nobility. Matthieu is many times shrewd and all the time classy, and takes enjoyment in the arts, hunting, courting and other gentleman activities. He often remarks that far too few individuals stop and take the time to truly appreciate the beauty that surrounds them. In times of battle Avelin keeps to reason and avoids mistakes using a mind that makes use of refined common sense.

History- Being the only son and heir to one of the most powerful and wealthy families in the known galaxy does have its advantages. Matthieu always knew the best: the brightest teachers, the grandest accommodations, the finest food, everything. It was a lifestyle fitting for a young boy with such a high birth. His father foreseeing an incurable illness that would take his own life made sure to spend as much time as he could permit with the upbringing of his only son. Against mother’s wishes the two would travel to all reaches of the globe, the older man telling of his wondrous experiences. For Matthieu the world fascinated him so, even the harsher and dirtier parts were none the less beautiful in their own way. Here he walked along the common folk, observing from his high angle what their life was like. It was fascinating and insightful in ways the noble could not have known. His father asked upon him to never take the world for granted, and Matthieu promised as his father lay in his death bed.

After graduating from Grensberg Academy with top marks Avelin officially took over his dad’s title as he became the operating owner of Avelin Dynamics. He entered the business world like a hand enters a glove. The allusion Matthieu would use is that the company is a well-oiled machine, in need of only a few modifications here and there to keep it running smoothly. But his interests and ambitions sat within the ruling council chamber in Britain, however. Much of his time is spent in London attending meetings and parties to gather as much intel on military matters as he can, making deals for his company and friends for his future aspirations.

Skills- For recreation? Matthieu is very talented in fencing, rifle shooting, chess and golf. His abilities as a conversationalist are bar none, able to convert potential enemies into certain allies and make warm a cold and somber dinner table. In order to be so he has an extraordinary amount of knowledge in current issues and other topics of interest ranging wildly. Naturally a bright student and tutored by the very best it comes to no surprise that Avelin is of a strong mind. That mind specializes in making deals and working the system in order to get what he wants. Perhaps no one man knows more regarding the state of things on Earth as well as he does.

Name- Nina-Rose Margeaux

Personalty- Nina-Rose is a an abrasive, crude, and loud young woman. She is very impressed by her own achievements and abilities, and makes it known that she is useful to Earth. The fact that a brand new prototype was given to her did not make her any humbler. She does, however, have a very coy and kittenish side that manifests when she's around people that she respects or admires. Still, Nina-Rose looks down on pretty much everyone, so don't expect this side to come out very often. Nina-Rose is also virulently racist towards colonials, referring to them as 'Backwater monkeys' and 'uneducated commoners'.

History- Nina-Rose was born in the colonies, a fact that is kept hidden from pretty much everyone. Her parents made fairly good money, and planned to send Nina-Rose to a good school on Earth, as they believed it was the only way to make their daughter a 'somebody'. Nina-Rose left the colonies before the massicure, and hasn't looked back since. Her parents' money gave her a five-star education, and Nina-Rose was praised by nearly everyone for her athleticism and intelligence. Thus, she grew a superiority complex, and believed herself to be better than all other colonials, and most other Earthians.

After graduating from basic schooling, Nina-Rose was recruited by Avelin Dynamics as an intern. However, she demanded to be allowed to test prototypes, as she believed that office work was 'beneath her'. She proved to be a right natural, and even the clunkiest of betas were at least decent under her control. So, when a very secret and covered-up prototype needed testing, Nina-Rose was brought in.

Now piloting the Nostradamus, Nina-Rose sets out to test the new prototype with a small squad under her command. Nicknamed the Amazon Brigade, as they are all female, Nina-Rose and her squad intend to subdue an apparent military conflict.

Skills- A superb pilot by any standard, Nina-Rose is a savant for her age and relatively low experience. She can do anything within the limits of a mech, and has very quick reflexes. Her impulsiveness inhibits her decent strategy mind, but her intelligence allows her to recover from her numerous slights.

Other- Nina-Rose's mech, Nostradamus, is a unique blend of most common mech types. It is bulky and heavily armored, but has many thrusters and other propulsion technology to make it quick. It can take a great deal of damage and has a versatile arsenal of weapons. Its greatest weakness, though, is the amount of energy needed to sustain it- human and artificial alike. Even the best of pilots would grow tired from the amount of work it takes to pilot Nostradamus properly.

Before you read and judge this bio...

This bio was an experiment of mine and it isn't completed yet. I had many thoughts about the type of character I wanted to try out. Before fleshing out the bio, I found a picture of the Mech than the picture of the boy next. I don't want to go against what you might want Dav, but I was thinking Kurt would be Admiral Versa Corsora's son. If you don't like anything Dav, let me know asap so I can change it. There's a lot more I feel that I might not know about that I maybe need to get informed on. So for now, this is a rough draft that could possibly be changed. However, I do like both photos so I'll only be changing his history and personality...

Personality: From his appearance alone, it would look as though Kurt was pure trouble. While juvenile crimes are easier to commit for him than others, Kurt finds himself wanting to do more. Inheriting his brash persona from his mother, Versa, Kurt is the type of person who will do something reckless just to see other’s expressions afterward. There’s a side of him that wants to rebel for the sake of being the bad person. However, Kurt’s a teenager and many teens want to take the bad path in life without thinking about the repercussions. Depending on who is surrounding him will decide on whether or not he will be molded into an honorable solider or a mischievous villain. Despite looking as though he’s a total failure, Kurt is a very intelligent young boy. He graduated early at the top of his class and knows pretty much a lot about mechanics and computers. His mother made sure it was a priority of his to know so. He proves that looks might not be everything, as his knowledge for many things surprises people. He isn’t as responsible or patriotic as his mom, but Kurt is overly educated in the matters of the war and what needs to be done to succeed.

History: Kurt has lived on and off the Night Hawk for the past couple of months. He tries to get away from his mother for long periods of time, only to be called back days after leaving. Kurt doesn’t think his mom can live without him around and its proof obviously. After constantly being pressured to join the USF, he finally did so. [I can write more concerning his past I just need approval on some things.]

Skills: Kurt knows plenty about mechanics, but not to the point of being a great expert at it. One of the best skills is his attention to detail. He can spot out a mistake in mere seconds. Kurt has excellent pilot skills and shows potential to grow more. His courageousness to make bold decisions on the fly compared to others is admirable, yet careless at times.
